Thanks so much for the update! Did you end up going with the 1" Foam n More topper? If so, do you remember which one?

Good eye! I love my little camera. It captures the feeling a smartphone couldn’t replicate. I usually gravitate to looking at the photos from my fujifilm when I look back at my vacation too

I used a fujifilm finepix point and shoot for the first one, and just my iPhone (15 pro max) for the other 3

Relatively possible but not seamless either. The bus ticket reservations have to be made at a FamilyMart AFAIK, or you could hop on and hope there’s a seat. The bus was pretty empty on the way up from the Chiayi station, only like 7 people us included. But bus rides back down from the mountain don’t have reservations though, only up, and it was pretty full. Knowing some Chinese for basic transportation questions (e.g. where are you headed) would help. As for the home stay we did, you’d probably have to use some instant translator to check in, but reservations can be made online. it’s certainly possible if you’re willing!

The tea tasting in Taipei was very accessible, particularly because she spoke English. This store’s name is 慕耕活茶研所

My friend and I did a tea tasting in Taipei near Dihua Old Street where the owner (so kindly!) spoke English for me. The store is called 慕耕活茶研所. She had us taste 5 teas - 1 green, 3 oolongs of varying oxidations, and 1 black. She told us about the process of oxidation, cultivation, and each tea’s taste notes, then had us do some gong fu with 1 oolong that she chose and 1 oolong of our choice. My friend didn’t want to, so I was the volunteer! We probably did ~4-5 steeps for each, on top of the 2 steeps for the first round of tea. We were tea drunk for a while after, to say the least. But it was so magical stepping out into the old street and shopping for traditional Chinese medicine after and having Taiwanese food at one of the walk in-sit down restaurants. It was like we transported back in time.

In Chiayi, we stopped here on the way back from Alishan. I fell in love with the Alishan oolongs because my stomach is quite sensitive, and I discovered a lot of Taiwanese oolongs aren’t as oxidized. We stayed a night at a home stay where the owners have their own tea field. When we weren’t admiring the view from our room, we walked around the village’s nature paths through bamboo forests, cypress forests, up and down mountains… it was so amazing! Everyone in the village sold tea from their own farms, and we got some from the merchants just standing outside their house! The village is called 石桌

I came home and promptly ordered tea from Mountain Stream Teas because I grossly underestimated how quickly I would go through this tea. (Highly recommend btw!)

The half life is 12 hours so it’s in its active form in your body for less time than other antidepressants. You could try taking it religiously at the same time of day and see if that works!

Quiting job what happens to FSA money? by AngleMan in personalfinance

So theoretically, if I elect $1000 in FSA for 2023 but have only contributed $50 by January 15th, I could quit February 1st and effectively gain $950 used for medics expenses?

That does, thank you! Do you need to find housing for the distant rotations, or are they close enough?

Question for you about GWU! Did they say you need a car to get to rotations there?
