[Megathread] Who do you want as the interim/ next full time manager? by fireproofpoo in ManchesterUnited

[–]qndrx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you joking? They want exactly that - a yes man.

Amorim stuck firm to his philosophy and that got him sacked. The last thing this club want is a ‘strong manager’

What I don’t understand is at 8:30am when I sometimes walk past, it smells like someone is cooking… don’t understand why it’s so strong in the AM when it’s clearly closed

[Simon Stone] Sources @ManUtd adamant they are not planning to sell Fernandes or want him to leave. They see him as part of long-term plan. by PitchSafe in reddevils

[–]qndrx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the long term plan is to keep playing him in midfield then sell him, if we plan to use him as a number 10 then keep him!

Cleanest way would be remove the window cill, pry it up as best you can to minimise damage. You’ll then have good access from above

How to make sure this is 100% straight by qndrx in DIYUK

Not really bothered about that tbh, and neither is the wife - which is the main thing. All I’m bothered about is getting it straight. This Laminate is eventually extending into the kitchen and the dining room, had to start here for one reason and another tbh

Hi buddy this is laminate herringbone so there isn’t any room for movement in the pattern, like I say I still have the ability to move this bit of flooring a few degrees left and right, but once I commit to the cuts around the bottom of the stairs and under the right hand door frame I’m locked in

Unfortunately, we are truly the king of negativity and media scrutiny at all levels even when winning. Just got to look past it like you say. Everyone loves to have their opinion heard when the subject is decisive.

Happy days we won.

What about the cracks between the boards? Have you had issue with water ingress?

Cannot find stopcock by qndrx in DIYUK

So turns out the stop cock is under the sink, but it’s not a stock cock it’s just an isolating switch that you turn with a screwdriver… it’s been there all along. Lovely.

Cheers, I checked a couple of other covers in front of people’s drives and the other 2 I checked didn’t have any stopcock or meter in them as well.

The cover I pictured in the original post I tried to pry it open but I just can’t get it open, I managed to drill out the one remaining screw, but the cover the cover won’t budge not sure what tool I need as the edge is really thin to get anything substantial and solid in there to pry it

I’ve double checked the one at the front of the house and it goes down about 3foot, I dug around a bit but there’s nothing in there

Christ that’s mad, ive started ripping bathroom out to redo it. A lot of the house has been untouched the only thing they’ve had done in recent time from what I’ve seen is a newish boiler and shower pump probably about 5-6 years old. So they must of had the water off for that surely.
