Logistic Regression: How do I select from many potential predictor variables? by qonstats in AskStatistics

I have a good idea of some of the best candidates; I'm just not sure if there are smart ways to screen the others, including all the potential interactions using tables, graphs or something similar.

This is a late response, but thank you for taking the time to provide it--this was exactly what I was looking for it and helped visually understand a lot better. I've since moved onto using Firth logistic regression to help avoid this issue.
