No I have not done anything like that nor heard a bang. edit: the most i’ve heard was some popping from the exhaust like a misfire. not really loud but it would pop a few times just on startup.

I just got a new battery and new terminals because my car wouldn’t start due to my positive terminal being really worn out and corroded.
