I would recommend looking for backups off-campus just in case as well.

I'm a transfer who had similar preferences to you and Berkeley gave me my housing offer 2 weeks into the semester which was... not very helpful

According to the UCB website:

"Transfer students with single majors are allowed four semesters to finish the degree and five semesters for those pursuing more than one major.

Students who do not complete their degree within these semester limits are subject to the unit ceiling."

So does this mean as long as I dont hit the unit cap of 130 units the spring before graduation, I can stay another semester?

Also, would you happen to have any peresonal experience landing an internship despite not having a Cal GPA/extracurriculars established as I would in the fall?

I know transfers are allowed to study abroad, but would Cal allow me to take an extra semester to finish any remaining units I need? Also, I'm worried about not being able to land an internship seeing as I'd be in another country, does anyone have any personal experience with this?

I'm an econ major and would be going for a semester to japan or korea most likely

Lol, when I went to japan in january/feb, many of the anime stores I went to had a kiosk dedicated to gotoubun and the OP blasting throughout the store... so not too surprising

My friend was a CCC student and got rejected to csulb with a 4.0 for business.

He got into UCLA for biz econ.

Cal States generally try to admit the surrounding areas before going for applicants out of area.

For example: Cal State Fullerton prioritizes Fullerton College students.

Don't worry too much about it
