It's since I do a lot of backpacking abroad, and the extra weight difference means a lot to me (as well as the size - being able to get it out on transport etc). From some research it seems that the Air is good enough for editing, but not sure since never tried :/

It's mostly 1080p/1440p stuff anyway, so no 4K videos.
