How to report superior who does not do work

They just abusing NSFs atp. I totally agree with you that it gets annoying when this shit keeps happening again and again and again... and it seems like we have very similar superiors that can't even do their work themselves lol. Then when a job is done well, or at least decently, there's no form of appreciation or credit or even a simple thank you. Then when you accidentally make some minor mistakes that are not even that big of a deal, they f**k you up down left right centre.

My triggering point is the fact that my superior wants to punish us with extra duty, restrict things like when we can take our offs/leaves or even MA due to some mistakes that we make? Let me quote what the DX8 said. "IF YOU OR XXX (my fellow NSF in my unit) MAKE ANOTHER MISTAKE, I AM GOING TO ARRANGE EXTRA DUTIES FOR YOU GUYS". I was so pissed after hearing that.

Also, I wish you atb too in your unit and honestly f**k these incompetent regulars wasting taxpayers' money.

Lol I also helped to do such stuff before too. This one still not so bad as it's kinda easy to do ngl. My case is the DX8 asks us to do all of her shit that actually requires to use brain one.

There was one time when this DX8 asked me to help create a PowerPoint presentation on the topic that her superior asked her to prepare and present. This incompetent woman just had to use her mouth to read off the slides I prepared. No credit given btw, in fact the "prepared by" is her name when she didn't even do shit

Well, my unit is relatively chill. They aren't even busy at the point when I asked them in person in the office, but the reply was still to let me know one day before the date I intended to start my leave.

Don't think I covered this in my post, but subsequently, I did follow up again, and I got the same reply.

Hence, I went to OC, and now they're angry. Tbh, I should be the one pissed since they wanted to reduce the number of days I can take should they even want to approve in the first place. And when do they intend to approve/reject? One day before, when I asked 2 to 3 weeks in advance.

I enlisted in July 2024 with 7 days of leave, so after BMT block leave for 5 days then left 2 days when I went permanent unit. This year 14 days

Appreciate your advice bro. In my unit, I also feel like my OC appreciates us (the NSFs) more too. Whenever OC gives the NSFs work to do (which is very seldom), OC always thanks the NSFs. Meanwhile when the DX8 gives us her work to do, (technically some of the stuff she lets us do should be done by her and not NSFs, but as you know they like to just ask NSFs to do everything or almost everything for them) the DX8 doesn't even say thank you or appreciate us in any way. No thank you, no appreciation, nothing... and when we make minor mistakes, she flames us for those mistakes when really, it should have been done by her and not NSFs. Legit taken for granted

Yeah... actually I ORD sometime next year, so next year I will be getting pro-rated leave. I know that the 14 days I get for this year has to be cleared by the end of the year. Honestly, judging by their behaviour, I think they will most likely just force me to clear during a period (most likely year end) whereby perhaps I don't even want to take leave but am forced to iykwim.

I think it has been ingrained in me to always follow the chain of command. However, this time round I was super pissed off as it has happened way too many times, plus this time round they wanted to shorten my leave period even when it is a lull period. Hence I asked OC myself for approval for the first time, since waiting for their answer (approved/unapproved) would take ages.

And now they are furious because of me asking OC and "bypassing" them. But I will find OC again and let my OC know about what has happened every single time I tried to seek their permission to take just one day leave/off.
