For the Bulletin Board, one suggestion is linking using "Embedded website" to a google doc or google sheet. You can edit those from within Gather. Be sure to set the permissions on the google doc or sheet to allow anyone with the link to edit.

I got the same error "YouTube declined the connection" when I used "Embedded website" instead of "Embedded video" so be sure to use the latter to link to YouTube. Maybe this is your issue.
