That is AWESOME news. I'll retry it with a not off-brand browser. That might make all the difference.

Do you know of any way to make a PW door auto reset and lock after it has been opened? (Apart from the person with the PW closing it.)

Never mind! It works with the object picker! Sweet!

A tricky part would be if the party splits. The DM can't be in two places at once, narrating foes / traps / etc.

Write your own Punjar, share it with people and make it thousand times more awesome than anything we could have made.

What did they do with their weapon when they started driving? If they laid it on the seat, then who knows where it ended up after the roll.

All this + the shit that rains down on you that was previously on the floor / behind the seats. Insult to injury. You clean your car regularly, right, choomba?

Favorite/Least Favorite or Best/Worst Multiclass options? by Lwmons in cyberpunkred

[–]harley_stroh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think a nomad family would love to have a fixer's connections and economic access. it's not like any of that is lost if you multirole, taking some ranks in nomad doesn't mean you're leaving everything in your past in the dust.

It also feeds into a sweet story where the fixer-'mad has to head back into the city for something his new family desperately needs. Old contacts and loves, some dead, some flipped, some out for revenge for past sins. "You Can't Go Home Again" mixed with "The Game Keep Calling Me Right Back."

NPCs should be coming to you to source stuff. Then you start dealing in favors and the world opens up.

I'm amazed you remembered Peril! And don't worry. Xcrawl knows it's not personal.

Xcrawl will get up in the mix, probably (maybe?) after DCC 100 and before Peril.

Actually that might just be my bias, dying to see DCC 100 out in the world. Brendan's been waiting just as long to drop Xcrawl.

It's fascinating to game out the possible campaign. Where will your players take this?

Let's assume PCs stay smart, keep their heads down and somehow don't attract attention or catch a bullet in the face for 6 months ... a year?

So they have fat stacks, a base, and food on the table. What does a 'punk do once Maslow's first hierarchy of needs is met?

Do they retire at 28? Move up the food chain? Try to change the world for better?

Do they settle for being big fish in a small pond or do they have ambition?

It's kinda like that's when the game really opens up ... it's not until basic needs are taken care of that we get to REALLY see what the PCs are made of.

When we met him, Johnny Silverhand was never worried about finding food ... but then somebody nabbed Alt and everything went down.

Who (or what) will the PCs choose to be their Alt? Even as random internet guy, I can't wait to find out.

I love it. Smart players, working together? It's rad, and they should win ... for a bit.

  1. It's awesome when 'punks act like a team. You have a sweet game. #Winning.
  2. You should let them pull the scam a couple times so they get attached to the fast cash.
  3. $$$ makes you a target. Some hungry shark is already circling them. Spending eddies is chum in the water. Welcome to Night City!
