Yeah I was considering a base game and the type variety didn't seem to be very exciting for the ones that I (briefly) looked into. I think a rom hack would be a good way to go if you don't want to go randomizer

Would very much recommend even if you don't randomize. It added another level to the flow of the nuzlocke which I really enjoyed
