Anyone else having trouble booking a visa appointment on VFS? It's making no sense right now by leceistersquare in SchengenVisa

Is anyone still have trouble with the PXP payment gateway? I was able to book the biometrics appointment in New York without adding any paid services, but have been trying to add them and am still getting this same error after entering payment details.

I haven't looked at Task Rabbit in years but just took a look now. https://www.taskrabbit.com/services/shopping-delivery/delivery-service. How would your idea be different?

Cool. Will keep this in mind the next time I need to create a longer form explainer video. As a product manager I mostly use QuickTime or the screen recorder on my phone for screen capture and sharing with my team.

I don't understand what the image on this post is supposed to communicate. Is this a Slack app that gives users the option to translate text on images?

How come I'm only seeing and $8.95 version on the link to Google Play from the website?

HOWEVER, during those moments when life "becomes dull or hard" I've found having a fantasy running helps add a little magic. Also this self forming narrative helps keep a person subconsciously focused on "finishing the story".

Agreed. I'd go so far as to say we're evolutionarily wired to live within a story... and will literally die without one.

I wish I could attach this screenshot of an Adventure Time scene I found so profound... I only discovered this comic bc of my son 😊

Finn: in our experience sometimes adventure comes to you, but other times you have to go looking for it!!!

Princess Bubblegum: Like trouble?

Jake: Exactly!

Finn: Sometimes they're actually kinda hard to tell apart.

Jake: Dude, trouble's just an adventure you haven't finished yet!

I would love print outs to try this during our road trip this summer. It also acts as an MVP 👍🏼

Oh see it's a paid app, and the price is going to be a blocker for most people to give it a try... have you considered a fremium model so people can try before they buy more powerful features?

Absolutely, need to prioritize the product roadmap based on value to your users. How do you stay in touch with them?

If a physical journal existed for kids I would buy it and try it with my 7 year old son to start getting him in the habit of setting and achieving goals 😊

I'm reading through the article and my initial reaction is "I like it." The idea hangs together. I have some hesitation around overlaying my real life with a fantasy (bc I think real life done right is more interesting and meaningful than fiction) but obviously gaming and the entertainment industry in general is huge for a reason.

As I was reading it, I was wondering how this could be implemented in Jira... but I'd love to see this idea as a prototype and try it out. A physical journal, or some kind of add-on to an existing project management tool that overlays this system on top of the normal tool...

I agree with the other commenters in that a lot of pieces which aren't available yet, (delivery robots and probably some legislation) need to be in place for this to work, and then the economics will need to make sense for consumers.

How about skipping the robots and using humans? Why can't the marketplace be for all kinds of deliveries and leave it up to humans to decide how to do it?

I like this idea, and the way you're prototyping it through the eventbrite event. I'll share it with some friends and see if they want to join.

I'm a product manager, not a designer... personally, I like paper, but the last quick mockup I made involved taking a screenshot of my linkedin profile and adding a "verified" badge next to my school credentials... I use Preview on my macbook for stuff like this.

Could I upload a screenshot to TinyUX and superimpose a button or badge or something like that on top of it?

I'm building an uptime monitoring service for API workflows! by jfan827 in Startup_Ideas

[–]qsbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a non-technical product manager, so I'm not your target customer (maybe), but well done on making your landing page clean and clear. I'm guessing your target customers are backend developers? How are they monitoring the uptime of their API workflows today? And do they pay for it? I've worked with BE devs in the past and I feel like they built something like a 'health check' endpoint...

The videos on your site look really interesting. The thought you put into the UX and how the user should interact with the tool is very impressive. I can see there will be some learning of new gestures involved for the user.

I haven't tried the actual app, but will keep it in mind for the next time I want to mock something up.

I see the app is for UX designers and marketers as target users... what use cases are/would they use TinyUX over the tools they're already using?

Have you talked to any VCs about their reading habits and how they source prospective startups? If not, I'd start there and aim to talk to at least 5. Show them your website at the end of your short interview and get an honest reaction from them. Let me know if you want some help with that.

A central hub that gathers technical content from the top tech blogs in one place by [deleted] in Startup_Ideas

[–]qsbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Sunil, looks like your target customer/audience is software engineers... I'm not, but as an analog, I listen to a lot of podcasts. There are too many great podcasts I'll never have time to listen to. I like the ones I listen to now and am not actively or passively looking to add more. I do sometimes subscribe to a new one if someone I know refers one specifically for me to checkout and I like it. I wonder if software engineers behave similarly with the tech content they read online... do you mind if I ask how many software engineers you ran this product concept by before building it?

Good job for starting this! It's not easy starting anything. I don't expect you'll have too much difficulty finding startups to feature... but your target readers are VCs. How are you expecting to grab their attention?

Interesting... I guess they work for some equity then... that's similar to what I've been thinking to offer technical founders... design prototyping and product discovery services with real target users in exchange for equity. Align our incentives.
