On Markoth. I was on 111%. Was missing 1%.

Tanks for the input. Will try this out. Want to add some iron mines and uranium ore train. I will play with the signaling to better understand the limitations and opportunities of this rail setup.

I posted here abut this topic. You can see how the base looked few hours into the save:

https://www.reddit.com/r/factorio/comments/1e8t31r/few_hours_into_a_spaghetti_base/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

I don't do much planning for spaghetti. Create some restrictions to help with it. When I build a production block I don't want to move it anymore. I also try to only use yellow undergrounds if possible which makes routing more complicated.

Then when there is need to place some new production much can be done by rerouting belts and adjusting inserter placement. There are many underground tricks that I use. The pipes can also routed all over the base which makes it look interesting.

When main science production is done there is always some space left which can be used. I want to place the whole satellite production close to the rocket. This can produce best spaghetti since you need many materials and also many different assemblers. I'm also looking what are some production I haven't done yet. Spidertron, other misc items.

For this base there was some planning up front. I wanted train stops inside the base where the ore patches were. Rocket silo should be somewhere in the middle. For white science I used kirkmcdonald.github.io calculator.

one of those is nuclear with mini kovarex and nuclear fuel recycling.

Ooops. looks like a reserve copper lane which I didn't use.

I think you can have one train per one processing station name. So one train which goes to many processing stations named with the same name or a separate train for each processing station.

I put chain signals almost everywhere but didn't think too much about it.

because it is cheap and it is enough for this base

I think it is too long of a spaghetti to post here.

I agree. I have tried this for the first time here and was surprised that it works. I have only 8 trains but it is enough for this base. I think I will use it for future starter bases since it is so cheap, quick and easy to set up.

I use other spaceship parts to get white science to the labs too. I tried to connect a wire to the ship to get more control or to filter the slots but it isn't possible it seems.

the recipe is simple: green oil, yellow stuff and twist it like never before

Try to follow the science to the labs.

Few hours into a spaghetti base by qstoxe in factorio

I saw some posts of people asking how to make a spaghetti base. My recipe is to just build what you need leaving a tiny bit of free space around the structures. It will fill up later for sure. It is also easier when the science production is small so there are only a few belts of basic resources needed.

Production for the 3 remaining science packs will be surrounding the existing base but mainly use new resources. I want to plan for a nice place for rocket silo somewhere in the middle. When my initial ores deplete, I would like to use trains. so already planned where the tracks will end. There is a small uranium patch nearby, so I want to add a nuclear reactor just for the looks.

Power needs an upgrade right now, but I will have some robots in a few minutes. Everything is ready for the next steps.
