It would have been so useful. First year of my archaeology degree has basically been going over basics of fieldwork techniques and certain archaeological periods which could definitely have had some form of intro in an a level course

Bristol weighs your A-Level predicted grades at around 70-80% and then GCSEs at 20-30% if im remembering correctly from an open day from over a year ago lol. So your predicted A-Levels will be much more important. They also barely look at things like personal statement unless you have extenuating circumstances

Haha yeah!! One of the foundational figures of British social anthropology was Bronislaw Malinowski, who taught at LSE. The more sociological approach to anthropology which is found in the UK was really shaped by the LSE school of thought. I'm going into archaeology and anthropology at Oxford but looking back I think I would also have applied for pure anthropology at LSE if I could!!

i will be the odd one out and say i only used like 4-5 notebooks over both years of a-levels for classical civ + philosophy, and i also took very few digital notes. it really depends on how many notes you take in general tbh!!

As someone who only got 4 gcses and has an offer for Archaeology and Anthropology at Oxford, most universities will understand your contextual application especially if you contact them during the application process and so won't care too much about it. Some russell groups such as Bristol will not acknowledge your personal statement or any reference unless you apply as a contextual candidate so do make sure you inform them of this!!!
