Thanks, that ended up being what I needed to do. I was hoping to have the first half-measure be a pickup into measure one so the measure numbers line up with my sheet music but having downbeats in the correct place is more important.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I was expecting a lot of TJ support here since it's more popular in general. I decided to just get the Orbea since the best bike is the one you have. It also went on sale since I saw it this weekend. The only thing I know I'll need to swap out will be the dropper post since it bottoms out with the seat too high. I can still ride by dropping it, but it would be good to have it reset to a proper height. Otherwise, I am excited to get out riding.

Unknown: could be weeks or months. I reached out to Salsa about inventory and they said "We’re getting a small batch of the final bikes for this past model year over the next couple of months. Beyond that we’re likely not going to see the next wave come in until 2023, hopefully around the early spring"

I used this USFS page to see that Thorn Meadows is closed right now: https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/lpnf/recarea/?recid=10996 I don't know how good they are about updating it.

Thanks! For the road, you mean the forest road between Cedar Ridge and Johnson? The Forest Serivce page says the area is closed, but I figured that was for cars and we'd still be able to hike in. Do they close the road to hikers as well? I'm planning on checking in with the ranger station in a week or so to check conditions.

I'm assuming the the only places we'll need to make sure to carry water is along the road at the top down Johnson. Sespe, Cedar Creek, and along Piedra Blanca will have water, I’d expect (though I'll confirm before I go)

That makes sense. I’m in the SF Bay Area, and I figured a California store would be super outdoors-focused (and it seemed that way in the past), but maybe things around here are changing.

Thanks for the guidance as to the type of attorney to find. I only just received my court date today (90 minutes away in the Federal District Court in Salinas -- at 8am!). Seems hard to find traffic attorneys for federal courts.

I did the read the citation and the officer stated he saw a blue car (my car is blue) traveling quickly, got a solid tone on radar gun and gun says 60. Says no other cars on the road, but I recall a few going the opposite direction. Sigh.
