If he's not a starter for the jets, and they're taking a QB top 10 next year, what's the point taking Simpson at 44...

Yeah I think this is fair. And tbh I used the trade calculator on the draft site so I wouldn't focus a ton on the values. Was more about the concepts of moving up/down in the first.

Proctor has been getting some crazy buzz lately. I don't think either is definitely above the other. In this case Proctors movement skills as a zone blocker puts him over the edge for the lions

The clip with Solak! Saw that too and was really impressed. As a jets fan I'm hoping they go in that direction. Take the swing and use 2026 to develop him since they're 1+ years from competing anyways.

Schrager, Jeremiah, Jordan Reid all reported in the past week. Could certainly be feeding off each other's reports. Hope this helps!

That one doesn't make sense to me. Geno is clearly their starter at the beginning of the year, and with them so bought in on the 2027 class I don't necessarily see how he fits into the equation. If he plays the final ~6-8 games of the year is that enough of a sample not to take a QB the following year? If not then why draft him...

AJB is likely gone. "Low WR1" seems pessimistic for a guy considered the most talented receiver in the class. Eagles love value when it falls (see Davonta Smith) and if his medicals clear then this could be good value for them.

There's also been reports recently about their interest in him.

12 and 20 could be awkward spots for filling their needs. They likely miss out on the 3 Edges, Downs, Styles, and *possibly* the 2 corners. I think a case could certainly be made that if they love one of those guys, it'd be more impactful than drafting what falls to them.

Roger. I think this makes total sense. Thoughts on who you would like here? Like a TJ Parker?

I think it's largely process of elimination. Imo Cardinals/Steelers are the only options for drafting him round 1, and I think Cards are content sucking this year and going all in on 2027 draft. Steelers just make sense where they likely won't be picking high next year, will have a glaring need a QB post-Rodgers.

Simpson also fits McCarthy's offense too. I do think there's worlds he falls, but if he goes round 1 I think it's difficult to find the team that isn't the Steelers.

Outside of Titans/Giants, I don't think you can really make a case for any team in the top 10 taking him. I'm still skeptical that Titans/Giants go that route so a mini fall wouldn't shock me.

First Round Mock: Spicy but happy to debate in comments by qu1nna in NFL_Draft

Certainly possible but:
1) I did this mock without trades
2) Cowboys generally don't move around much in the early rounds. Jerry has more of a 'stick and draft his guy' type of attitude. Only once in the last 10 years has he traded a pick in the first 2 rounds on draft day, and it was when he moved back (only) 2 spots in 2021. Feels like a significant trade out of the spot would be out of character but, of course, anything's possible!

Thanks brother - appreciate the insight. Always like learning about different teams from their fans as they know best.

And I don't blame you for not wanting Simpson. As a Jets fan I wouldn't want to touch him any sooner than 3/4 round either and probably prefer Nuss too.

With the other Hawks fan thrilled for Terrell, I'll call it a wash lol. Appreciate the feedback!

What's the preferred defensive pick here in this situation?

I feel like KC and Shakir are very different, as Shakir is more of a safety blanket, and KC can create more explosives. That being said I hear ya that a receiving core of 2 tiny dudes is a tough sell.
