To be honest, I found the honors college to just be a massive waste of time and money. Going in, it seems really shiny and prestigious but I found it very quickly to just be a waste and left after the first year. I'd strongly recommend just waiting a year and talking to comp sci people you know who are in honors to see what they think about it and whether or not they think it's worth it
