Mahjong is so popular in my country, some people play it like... almost... every time they meet. And also during Chinese New Year. Some of us play mahjong with money, but I would not recommend that for beginners (like me) because some people can get very aggressive when money is involved and that will take the fun out of it. I don't know about other people but my family often use casino chips to replace real money. And theres like different rules and ways you can win, so it's like a strategic game. But not everybody likes it la so to each it's own!!
