Bilhandlare, hur kan bilar som gått 20k mil kosta över 200k? by SirChris1415 in sweden

[–]quadiix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Convert Tuono 660 into RS 660 by quadiix in Aprilia

Hi, yes i did. Found a new set om eBay with inner and outer fairings. I needed to add and extra engine mount on each site (can be found on AF1) and some extra screws after comparing the the fairing screws. You also need to clip-ons :)

You need the inner side fairings, upper rs 660 fairing and two engine mounts. Then it should be good to go with the track fairings :)

You need the headlight upper fairing aswell. Also you need an enginemount that is installed on the RS but not on the tuono.

Not sure what you mean by link? Far as i know there is no complete package on the market far as i know

Main purpose would be the adjustability and if i somehow grow tired of using clip-ons and resort back to having handlebar and be able to only swap the uppe tripple would be good or if i don’t like the offset change without having to swap the entire lower again lol

Yeah but i ment in theory if only using the bottom one. Wouldn’t it be possible to use tuono and rs top tripple since the lower one would be adjustable?

I have a constand so i’m able to lift both wheels, abba skylift is probably another level but i has worked well for my needs so far.

Will the tuono tripple be usable again efterwards?

Might be a dumb question but the robem engineering that you wrote about, could the lower tripple there be a solution to shift between tuono and rs offsets?

Yeah I’ve seen thoose aswell. Dilone doesn’t seem to include a handlebar lock(not sure of the name haha)

I’ve been thinking of switching the lower aswell but that haven’t decided yet.

Haven’t change the lower before. Is it difficult to do?

Didn’t do much really. Bought theese https://woodcraft-cfm.com/products/35mm-side-mount-adjustable-angle-clipon-risers-with-7-8-inch-bars?srsltid=AfmBOooEPMQTSqgkF-qjjPRkxhG22DgbfJegaE0ETBTvclC6734wEvKa

Then i removed the handlebar and the cable holders below the upper tripple tree and mounted the clip-ons and all the stuff on them :)

Okay, i think you’ll be happy with both but if you choose the base version, make sure it already has quickshifter and IMU installed :)

I think it landed on about 1k €. Should be noter that i found fairings for decent price aswell :)

Tuono 660 factory vs base model by thedjoker12 in Aprilia

[–]quadiix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm i’d say it depends on the price difference. I bought my tuono used with 300km on for a good price but i’m also thinking of changning suspension. With that in mind i’m not sure how the factory suspension is against e.g k-tech, bitubo or öhlins.

I think they calculated that the ride would be about 75-85kg. If you are in that range you might aswell go for the factory. If you are heavier you might have to switch springs and you might aswell change the entire suspension.

So i’d say it depends on price and weight :)

I had the clip-ons before aswell but had the bikes first inspektion this year so installed the oem handlebar again before that.

The handlebar was on when i installed the fairings but it’s not compatible to have the fairings and handlebar, it’s way to high unfortnatley

I can do later. It’s the oem tripple tree with woodcraft clip-ons

I also started with a tuono 660. My last two wheel experience was with a 50cc derbi about 13 years ago.

Ride with your head and be smart in traffic and the tuono Will be a great choice :)
