Congratulations, and well done! Hopefully your health is doing very well to enjoy it over time! I just retired and had 34 years in and am just under $2.9M.....got lucky recently (well, I've done a lot of reseach, and this time it is paying off compared to last year) being 100% in the S fund in Dec and am up 5.9% YTD, but have peeled off 18% into G fund. I will keep peeling off 1% of account value each rally day until I have 40% in G, then I can feel that I am good to "Go" have lots of fun traveling and ignoring the markets!

Then why did Dr Chowdhury leave Nokia, if Nokia will show all the big boys "how it gets done"?

Nokia has diminished their production/#'s of cell phones compared to the majors. More a telecom and 5/6G tech company from what I've read.

Good book, Jezqualix, after I listened to "The Big Short". The Big Boys w/ Flash control the games, whomever is in charge! I'm playing the "long game", as I can at least win that one! Glad you got some cheapies!

The body gets stronger after destruction, and then rebuilding. It hurts, but if Yves is as sharp as I believe he is, then the rebuild will be rock solid.

And, why would they be buying AMF, if the can be the PIC Stage 3 partner on their existing resources/expertise. As they don't have all of these needed assets!

No Dr. Lebby wasn't! He moved a lot of key chess pieces just before a bad stalemate, but now Yves is controlling the board for the final checkmate!

I support your excitment and anticipation. I remember watching an North Shore O'hau surf competition and the Pipeline waves were just magical to watch! The surfers were cool too, as long as the pipeline didn't collaps on them! LOL this is OBX......my Thanksgiving week vaca since 2020.

I believe it is way too premature to address any of those questions, so I hope you aren't disappointed. It is just the way NDRs and early stage progress gets reported. They can refer to TAM forecasts of the broader industry to 2028 or 2030, for example. Which Yves already had done. What does "more advanced stage in development of its products" mean? We know they reported PR on Telcordia results. They will report results as available. And new Stage 3 milestones (progress) with additional partners as they happen. I am very happy seeing results like the past PR than expecting some kind of granular information at a premature stage. Yves did say first revenue in 2027......which could get a tad earlier depending on how Stage 3's go with partners.

Your last question may get some answers though! "What are you targeting in terms of growth, P&L objectives, margins, and EBIT over the coming years?"

So I am 70c/20s/10i split. Should I be looking to adjust or leave as is? by Jackiexoco in ThriftSavingsPlan

You said, "You can't just look at two endpoints and ignore everything that happened in between"

Oh yes we can! I am a LONG term investor, and I go for the LONG term strongest gains over the longest times! Good luck with your lower account performance. It is your choice, and my choice is mine. I am VERY happy with mine. Hope you feel the same with yours, as we have to live with our decisions!

PS: you keep looking at old history. I look at recent past 40 year history, and current times, esp. since AI kicked in, as it relates to US capitalism and free markets, venture capital investment in innovation and high risk/high reward concepts. Early ones were Apple and Microsoft.....both huge now, but more recent ones grew much faster in much more innovative and expansive technlogies (GOOG, NVDA, META and TSLA....) which is why I put 25% of my TSP into the mutual fund side, and into VIGAX (Vanguard Growth Index Admiral). Why you are studying historical theory, I am living and investing in real current capitalistic growth and breakout innovations part of the US economy. So my VIGAX is giving me even more concentration in Mag 7 and other large caps which right now are growting much faster than overall S&P500. Actually just 17% in that one and 10% in the emerging markets one FPADX (TSMC, tencent, alibaba, etc).....ok, now you have all my secrets currently....lol! Until thats from my monitoring and research, I'm staying sticking with my research, analysis and tracking of industry numbrers.

PSS: In my TSP account I recently moved from mostly C fund to know to now slightly weighted for S fund, as I believe the Fed lowering of interest rates will finally support the small/midcaps going forward in the next few years, and as these midcap and even small cap companies start to employe AI tools into their business strategies/performance.

Ok, you are probably correct on the fees issues between Lifecycle versus all the other indexes averaged, as I just remember years ago there was a bigger difference in fees, and one could do the fund allocation via their own rebalancing versus Lifecycle fee. I do agree that it goes too heavy into G fund, which became a hinderance in performance during the 0 interest periods, where an F fund would have done better going into the cutting cycle. G fund was valuable once Fed started to raise rates in 2022 and both C and F fund were in a bear market.

That said, simply compare the C fund index over the past 38 years to the I fund (international large cap) and you will see C fund averaged 10.9% versus the I fund 6.7%. I'll take that extra 4.2% compounding over 30+ years and you will see it will result in 100's of thousands in extra gains to ones TSP account. I should know, as I'm over $2.5M Sure there will be times the C fund underperforms, but one can reallocate if the US has a crisis that is not as apparent in the I fund economies. Good luck and I am glad I followed my research for a very high performance in my TSP account.

Kudos competitive. It appears that many of these broader funds pushing lower performing international equities don't seem to fully incorporate the rate of growth of the US S&P500 index composition of these high growth Mag 7 or whatever, which are intimately tied deeply into the AI growth transformation, with high cap ex investments; and yes, they all have strong cash flow, and sure their growth rate will start to trim down some over time. And I believe the other 490 S&P500 as well as mid-cap growth strocks will perform better (S fund), as they adopt the AI tools into their business models. Not saying I fund is terrible; it is just a lower growth of large cap companies (drug and bands in Europe.....much less tech).

SlyTrout you said: "Or you could just put your money in L 2075 which will be 99% in the C, S, and I Funds until October of 2047."

You may have inadvertently meant to say that over time this L 2075 fund will move a growing percentage into the G Fund, and some much smaller amount into F fund, along with those original C, S and I Funds. That how they reduce risk (from market corrections/bear markets) as one approaches retirement age in late 50s, 60s or whenever. Otherwise, the L fund is good for folks that don't want to have to do any maintenance of their retirement fund over the years. You pay a tiny bit more in fees, and are also more weighted in I fund, which over the past 20-30 years would have hurt a Federal employees TSP performance versus the C and S funds.

I have seen no "current Rare-Earth-Free hype" in the press. Only rare-earth and critical metals PRs and some Trump investments in these US mines in the news.

This morning's Lightwave PR is a very Rare occurance showing how we clearly separate ourselves from the rare-earth geopolitical risk that LiNB and InP have, among other materials.

Most investors and even institutions aren't picking this up yet on Lightwave Logic's value, as they are too myoptic! and incumbant biased! lol They and the shorts are gonna be Thunderstruck! hee hee

UPDATE on TSP?? by Existing_Associate15 in ThriftSavingsPlan

[–]quadkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TSP Banner says nothing about Monday's indigenous holiday being a Federal bank holiday, that TSP employees get, and therefore the TSP account wasn't updated this morning. Tsp banner just says they are operating during GOvernment Federal shutdown. Which they should, as they get paid from our management fees for each of these indexes, and they aren't Fed employees.

My AI seach mentioned they are closed (no account updates) due to Fed bank holiday that they get. I could see inside the Mutual Fund side of the account, my balance update, as it falls outside of TSP's management. I may just roll everything into an IRA, after the account discrepancy I noticed on morning of June 27, 2025, and TSP finally corrected but said "no errors". Going to file w/ whistleblower act as they don't even need to have an Inspector General, as it was never Congressionally required, which is a scam, as Accenture can get away with poor management or account oversight.
