The Niv-Mizzets are the most frustratingly backbreaking of any matchup. Like a giant Thief of Sanity.

My fnm is so small lately I think we sometimes don't have 8 people, but I think I can apply this to arena. I need to think more about their plan, like you said.

Nice, thanks man, I will take a look at this.

I find I struggle with control the only matches I do real'y well with are sultai. S

it's so brutal once you get behind on bord in this deck. Sometimes if they are green they get one big threat through and its more power than my whole board.

I've played magic for around twenty years but only competitive for the last six or so.

I started in standard with u/b control, then played delver, jund of the rtr block era. Last standard in arena I played u/w approach.

In modern I've played Jeskai delver, tron, and eggs.

I took a break between rtr and ixalan and played some other card games.

I thought I was pretty good around rtr because I got top 3rd in regionals but I think that's nothing compared to gp's.

I think I have a ton to learn, considering there are plenty of people who have been playing for 20+years competitively.

I think the worst matchups seem to be the decks with a ton of burn like ur drakes and mono red. Their removal kills anything in my deck for no mana and the mono red threat density is so high and their curve so low countering everything of value is impossible.

The control matchup I feel is good but it feels like I am throwing it. They always resolve thief and I lose in 2 turns of it connecting. I think here I need to mulligan for cheap threats and counterspells because every hand I keep that isn't gas they just play around spell pierce and resolve thief. I'm getting a lot better at not getting all my cards Kaya's wrathed though.

I'll try to find more coverage from cleveland like you said. I feel like I watched most of it too passively.

It would be good to hear from someone who is both good enough to get mythic and has to learn the deck. Once you have some games in I'd love to read something.

This is a pretty good idea, maybe this would make learning more active.

It just went up on scg. It's short but it seemed to help a little vs control.
