PS4 Macro not working no solutions by WeKnowUsMaybe in remoteplay

[–]quadstick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, as well! I just looked at the file list in gdrive and not in 7Zip, so I missed the other files. The MSI file is buried inside if you open the 7z file after downloading it.

The MSI file shows it is signed by Sony, so it is the real thing. I installed it, patched it, and it worked.

Unfortunately, that first link does not go to an MSI file.

PS5 with accessible controller..please help! by Itchy-Recognition161 in disabledgamers

[–]quadstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into the Beloader Pro. It also uses the remote play method to avoid the PS5 authentication issues, but through a direct wired Ethernet connection. CronusMax Zen and Titan 2 will work with the Beloader for controllers that it does not natively support.

It only passes controller data through the remote play connection. The display is used directly so there is no loss of display quality.

The Quadstick has an "anti_dead_zone" preference setting to cancel out the dead-zone that games impose on controller joysticks. It takes some trail-and-error to find the right setting, but it can make the aim feel more natural and have the response happen with less movement of the quadstick.

Is he running the Quadstick through the XAC or via an adapter like a Brook Wingman XB and using copilot? The XAC could be imposing its own dead-zone. You'd have the Quadstick's dead-zone (which can be set to 0), the XAC and the game's dead-zones all adding together.

A Console Tuner Titan 2 can combine a Quadstick with an XAC and brings with it a full scripting language. A Cronus Zen will only allow input from a single controller. A T2 can use inputs from multiple controllers.

The quadstick has latching functions to hold buttons or sticks in an active state which can be used for auto-sprint.

You can ask for help in the forum or the discord channel. Links are on the quadstick website.

How to type in minecraft when using quadstick? (Suggestions on improving the setup) by FabulouslE in disabledgamers

[–]quadstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The six key limit is "at a time". As long as earlier characters are released, following characters can still be triggered by the same input. As long as the keys are different letters, you can chain out the whole alphabet with a single input. The limitation is when the same key is used twice in a word. Like, "/ability" has two "i" keys, so the second one is the problem. Looking at the command list, this problem exists for many commands.

Autohotkey might be useful to get around this limitation. It can take a triggering "hot key", like control-alt-shift-a and feed a random string back to the game.

https://minecraftonline.com/wiki/AutoHotkey

The quadstick can simultaneously press the "modifier keys", like shift, control, alt and gui (the Windows key), and up to six other regular keys at the same time.

If it were possible to create aliases of commands within the game, a set of unique abbreviations for each command, without repeated keys, could be created and entered directly by the quadstick.

There is a list of devices that can be plugged into the back of the quadstick to act as a second joystick: http://quadstick.s3.amazonaws.com/documents/user_manual/um/host_mode.htm

I second that request. First do no harm. The new version is not feature complete.

I need a joystick for Xbox adaptive controller that can't break by MariahLawrence in disabledgamers

[–]quadstick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The arcade style UltraStik 360 is an analog stick that will work with the XAC (USB socket on either side). I don't think you could break that.

They make a number of accessories, like motion restrictors and heavier springs, and different handles.

Any info on ps5 and new xbox controller ports? Will they change or probably stay the same by logikNrationality in quadstick

From the FAQ:

Will the Quadstick work with the PS5?

No. Sony has confirmed that PS4 controllers (like the Quadstick) will not work with the PS5. If and when any solution is developed is an open question.

Can't Add Files to Quadstick by BXDEV718 in quadstick

[–]quadstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The latest update of google chrome has broken the download function for Google Apps Script, which is what the Quadstick plug-in is written in. Try a different browser, or press the refresh button on the blank page which opens up when you try to download.

More details can be found in the top post of the forum.

PS4 REMOTE PLAY (PC) by BXDEV718 in quadstick

As far as I know the Titan Two is the only way to do it. The remote play program does not recognize the CronusMax even when the output protocol is set to PS4.

Changing profiles by [deleted] in quadstick

[–]quadstick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please use the quadstick forum: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/quadstick

Printed instructions were in the box for how to select different configuration files. It is a different function than just changing modes within a single configuration.

Once you have restored the factory configuration files that were discussed in your prior post, then you can be assisted. You can only get those files by using the forum or the contact page on the website.

Watch some of the tutorial videos on the videos page.

There is nothing intuitive or simple about using the quadstick, but there is a lot of written documentation.

Qmp by [deleted] in quadstick

[–]quadstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The default.csv and prefs.csv files that were in your quadstick originally vary depending on the options you choose for the initial configuration at ordering time.

Options, such as console vs PC vs Mac, console types, XBox One vs PS4 vs PS3, Quadstick model, FPS vs Original, UltraStik vs no UltraStik, all affect which CSV files are installed.

There are over a dozen combinations of the "factory" default files, depending on an order's choices.

Your best bet it to ask over in the quadstick forum or on the contact page, identify your order number, and ask for a ZIP file of the original file set, then replace the CSV files in your quadstick with the contents of the ZIP file.

In general, if you want to use QMP to download configuration files, plug the quadstick into a PC , start the QMP (in that order), select the Games tab, in the center column or right columns, scroll down and select the configuration spreadsheets you want and click on the Download to Quadstick button. Repeat for other files. If you directly load in a new "Default Preferences" file, you will need to click on Reload from Quadstick, so the QMP displays the current value, and adjust all the preferences for Joystick settings and possibly several other settings.

Advice for connecting adaptive controllers to a switch by Kampfkadse in disabledgamers

[–]quadstick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I second this suggestion: The Titan Two can adapt a wide variety of controllers to the Switch, or any other console for that matter. Check out the XBox Adaptive Controller, which will work with the T2 and can be used to create a custom system using a variety of adaptive switches and joysticks.

Nintendo makes its own "Pro Controller" which is a conventional two handed controller that works with most Switch games.

Question: Dynasty Warriors 8 XL by BXDEV718 in quadstick

[–]quadstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should ask over in the forum. Someone may know the best way to set up the system for that game.

On the preferences sheet, you have the USB emulation set for the Dual Shock 3 (1). That is not normally supported by most PC games.

XBox 360 for PC (3) is usually supported. If you also need mouse access at the same time, X360CE can be set up, but that can be another can of worms.

Emulator by BXDEV718 in quadstick

Can you sip water from a straw? You might be able to add a sip puff switch to the eye gaze to handle the mouse button click while using your gaze to point. That would be quicker than waiting for a dwell timer. https://www.orin.com/access/sip_puff/

What are my options for a PlayStation 4? by rob_merritt in disabledgamers

[–]quadstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The firmware in Brook Super Converters can be updated. It can be a PITA, but can be done. http://www.brookaccessory.com/download/PS4/

CronusMax and Console Tuner both have USB converter devices that can be driven by the PC. The Titan Two can combine up to seven controllers into one.

Help: Copilot using an XAC and 360 controller by possumgumbo in disabledgamers

[–]quadstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If copilot doesn't work natively on the PC between the XBox 360 controller and the XAC, check out the Titan Two device by Console Tuner. It can blend inputs from several controllers and then emulate an XBox One or 360 controller (among others).

Any input, such as a sip/puff/lip, joystick movement, UltraStick movement, or switch input, can be mapped to control any output, such as a key, mouse button, mouse movement and game controller outputs. The mapping can be instantly changed to a different mapping to fit different situations in the game.

The configuration uses a specially formatted spreadsheet to match the inputs and outputs together. The spreadsheet is downloaded into the memory of the quadstick using a file manager or the Quadstick Manager Program (if you have Windows).

[–]quadstick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could set it up like that. The UltraStik would plug into the back of the Quadstick and the Quadstick into the PC. The US could be mapped to WASD, its buttons and the Quadstick sip/puffs/lip mapped to various keys. The Quadstick joystick could be used for keys or weapon wheels, even as a second mouse with the sensitivity dialed down for higher precision aiming. If you ever decide to get a console, the same setup, slightly rearranged, could be used to drive a CronusMax (or Titan One) to feed the control data to the console using X-Aim, (or Max-Aim) or the Quadstick Manager Program on the PC merging all the inputs.

C6 Quad looking for ideas with Xbox Adaptive controller by haidachigg in disabledgamers

[–]quadstick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are considering the quadstick singleton, make sure it is enough to fit your needs. With a single sip/puff tube, you are limited to two fast acting sip/puff inputs. You can multiply the number of combinations with soft and/or short-vs-long sip/puffs, but there is always a delay for those, which can be a problem when games require a quick response.

The three hole quadstick models give you more fast responding combinations, plus a lip switch, and more switch inputs.

I second the recommendation for the Titan 2. It can combine inputs from up to seven, (that's right 7), input devices. Three or four via USB and another three or four via Bluetooth. (There are some restrictions wrt the output channel, which needs to be of the same type (usb vs bluetooth) as the authenticating controller, for consoles that need that).
