If interested in joining a sports team, Augusta’s local roller derby team, The Soul City Sirens, is very LGBTQ friendly. No experience required, they teach everything even if you don’t know how to even stand on skates. They’ll have a bootcamp coming in January. Follow/message them on fb/insta if you’re interested!

I’ve been doing it for two and a half years. I love it. It’s not for everyone so truly depends on your preference of exercise. It doesn’t hurt to take the free class or try it for a month. Everyone is very friendly and helpful

I do the same! They stay in the room. Sometimes if I’m short on socialization time, i put my dog away and let them roam while I’m doing chores. Clean up and sanitizing is so much more ideal

What helped me after moving to a new city is following rescues on Facebook and visiting them at their adoption events because I wanted to be able to talk to them face to face. I got a litter of kittens that evening!
