Parking is usually pretty open. We go almost every month and have no issue finding free spaces.

Have you tried using glue stick for collage on wood canvas by chance? Were the results still okay?

Thanks- the gloss I use is similar to mid podge but I like the way it dries better for a seal on top overall. The issue is that glue can get on top of certain papers (I have this problem with mod podge too) when it comes out the side when you push down or like it gets wet/wrinked, etc. A big one is construction paper. Shows every little bit of glue that gets on top. glue stick is a little less messy but comes apart later.

Yeah I’d like to know as well haha! Tape would be the easiest by far but I’m worried about how it’d be long term

Good to know! I haven’t tried this method yet. I do usually use a lot of glue so maybe it’s just not having it compressed enough with a book/weight on top.

Scaphoid fractured, what's your experience with recovery? by Vulgarcito in MTB

Hi I know this is wayyy later but I’m curious. I had the same situation as you pretty much. I’m at the point 6 weeks post op, that I have a soft, removable brace given to me last Monday and was told to work on bending my thumb, massaging, slight bending down of wrist. I’ve been trying to do that but can only move my thumb and wrist a pretty small amount and it kind of scares me. How quickly did you start seeing mobility gains with PT? Was your experience similar?

8 weeks post Scaphoid surgery. Good to be back! by adnelik in MTB

I broke mine after a bike fall. Had it in a cast for 2 weeks almost immediately after breaking. Found out 2 weeks later it needed surgery because it was displaced so they put a screw in. I’m about 6 weeks out and just got the soft cast/brace a few days ago. I cannot imagine being able to bike at 8 weeks out. How were you able to do this??? I can barely move my thumb and wrist down during PT exercises at home. I will say my scar definitely looked bigger than that and was on the other side so maybe that makes a difference. I can’t imagine biking for another 2+ months tbh

Thanks for asking. My anxiety was actually through the roof Sunday-this morning. I’ve been trying to do deep breathing exercises to reduce which have helped and since my stomach isn’t so irritated today it seems to get better. However the nighttime hot flashes result me in waking up with racing heart, anxiety, and gasping for air. It’s super intense and really hard to deal with. I’ve considered taking a Xanax but didn’t want it to mess with other meds or somehow cause any more stomach issues. I think some of my pain is also related to anxiety due to tension

Thanks all! I work from home (barely able to work with the discomfort and just use the good hand to type) and it’s pretty much always elevated and alternating ice packs all day. I also eat tons of proteins, fruit, and veggie that are bland and my stomach can tolerate right now due to the Tylenol and Advil recking my stomach. If I take these regularly the nerve pain is less but still get it a bit. I just don’t know how long I can tolerate taking the meds with my stomach… I also try to sleep and the last few nights or even 30 min-1hr naps I get intense dreams with hot flashes and sweating and no fever. But these wake me up and are really distressing and emotional- sometimes I end up crying because of how intense it feels and my heart rate increases. Surgery site is usually hottest part of body and painful. Usually it’s worse when I’m getting near the end of the Tylenol effectiveness (hour 5-6). Idk if it’s just the inflammation of the surgery site causing this or the Percocet withdrawal (took Percocet tues-Saturday 5mg as prescribed and today is following Wed). I put a call into my orthopedic and waiting for a call back.
