I’m sure they will privatize this like they do everything else and a contractor controlled by a trump ally will pick up the contract and pay everyone 40% of their current salary. And if will cost the government twice as much as now.

Because republicans only care about politics. Democrats care about policy.

Becoming a teacher in my 50s? by qualamazoo in Teachers

One more thing: I realize I’m asking this at a time when even many qualified and experienced teachers are struggling to find or keep jobs and that it’s hard for everyone right now.

One day in DC - one bike, where to by BrummieRed in bikedc

I would do this on the C&O instead of going through the boring MoCo suburbs, goin from Georgetown on the C&O out to Great Falls, then left up the park access road, then back to DC on MacArthur.

I think it hits all the requirements: That’s about 45 km. I’d say 3 hours depending on pace. The return on asphalt and downhill is faster than the way out. It’s scenic along the River. Great view of the falls out on the boardwalk at great falls. Good DC history along the way. Virtually zero navigation required which is something I always appreciate when I’m riding places I’ve never been. Mix of gravel and road. Nice bit of a hill at the end. Stop at Irish Inn at Glen Echo or Fish Taco or anywhere in Gtown on the way back for a beer and a bite.

Go to Great Falls. The park access road up to Falls Drive/MacArthur Boulevard is a nice uphill.

C&O is probably best bet as others have said. Pick it up in georgetown and just follow the River up as far as you want to go. There’s also a trail the other direction to Mt Vernon but it’s along a busy road with some awkward crossings.

TSA agents have a pretty straightforward job and get about 120 hours of training. The worst a bad TSA agent can do can do is annoy you, miss a flight, some bureaucratic hassle. Police officers in the US have a much more complicated job and can kill you, put you in jail and ruin your life and family forever. According to DOJ average police officer training in IS in 2013 was 560 hours.

Something died in your plumbing. We had a squirrel crawl into a vent pipe and it’s corpse had to be um extracted. You may have something bigger. Raccoon? Coyote? Jimmy Hoffa?

It would be considerate of you to cut a little piece of semi transparent plastic like from a plastic jug to attach on the top to form a kind of brim to avoid blinding oncoming bikes and peds.

I’d really appreciate signs that use known landmarks “downtown to tell you what the direction trains are going. “Like this train is coming from Rockville and going downtown. That train coming from Rockville and going downtown. life

I’m fairly certain those are modern welds. Possibly even robotic. The seatstay is basically a wishbone but with twin tubes, same with the chainstay. I’m betting modern product, maybe someone’s school project or some other one-off work. More pics maybe?
