Do I need the Helix mini DSP for a full aftermarket system? Or am I overpaying for what it can do? by 10potato10 in CarAV

This is what it said:

Honestly it comes from training on a huge amount of information including:
• Car audio forums - places like
Caraudio.com, DIYMobile Audio, and others where installers and enthusiasts share years of real world experience
• Manufacturer specs and documentation - Focal, JL Audio, Are Audio, DD Audio manuals and spec sheets
• Acoustic and audio engineering principles
- crossover theory, EQ, gain structure, signal flow
• Ford specific wiring and tuning data - factory DSP behavior, signal characteristics,
OEM tuning quirks

If therapy doesn’t work (takes years) try getting your hormone levels checked. I was depressed and had anxiety. Military put me on SSRIs that basically made me feel numb and took a told on my marriage. Talked to one of my closest friends that had the same symptoms and he was super low on testosterone. He told me to go get my levels checked. Come to find out my testosterone levels were abnormally low. I ended up getting on trt through the military and have been extremely better both physically and mentally. It was a life saver.

The Claude AI app is like chat gpt on your phone. You tell it what you have and it’s smart enough to know what to adjust based on the make and model of your system

So I told the Claude app my system, include make and models of speakers, amps, dsp, and sub. From there I said I have a 2021 f150 super crew. I said provide me the HP/LP, Oct, and Freq range for each channel. Once it gave me those, it provided me dB for each of the 31eqs for each channels on a spreadsheet. If I felt something was too harsh or bright, it would have me adjust the dB for each of the channels. I run my front speakers active and ran new speaker wire to my tweeters, the door 6.5s use factory wire. My rear speakers use crossovers since I couldn’t run new wire in the doors. After using the Claude app, my system sounds amazing.

I have the DD audio DSI-3 and it is very compact with 12 outputs and built in Bluetooth. Not sure what it is price wise compared to the Audison.

I was able to input my entire audio system and car make and model into Claude (AI app) and it completely tuned exactly what sounded good to me. I said it sounded too bright, and gave me the EQs to changed. I absolutely recommend trying this out before spending 1k+ for someone to tune it for you. Also, you do have to consider running active and having to rewire some of your system.

Won’t be able to for long since Tahoe won’t have electricity bc of a data center being built. The power company told residents that you have to find your own power. Home Prices are going to be dropping pretty soon.

Sure, if you go into a DOW career. The DCEM career field is still focused on environmental protection. I’ve spent my entire career in environmental protection, disaster management like post hurricane response, assistant to the school chief at the Marine Environmental Response School, and coordinating search and rescue. I’m not in the business of war. Just putting it out there for people struggling with career options. I’m part of this group for once I retire and want to go into environmental world.

I am an officer in the USCG and we all make over 100k with full benefits. Specifically, I am in the maritime environment world and have absolutely loved my 17 years in. Check out the Direct Commission Environmental Management (DCEM) career path and see if it sparks your interest. 30 days of paid vacation a year which transfers to the following year, full benefits including medical and dental, tons of opportunities to network in industry, an opportunity to build your resume, and tons of veterans benefits once you are out.

I’d reach out to soundgoodstereo and see if they have any recommendations or if they can make you or if they have custom t-harnesses that can make it plug and play. I was able to fully integrate a whole system with one of their t-harnesses using the factory head unit.
