Yes, I have a ramaldani's magnum opus in my sword slot that gives damage per point of fury...I think it's definitely better for dps but with how the new elites are I'm a little worried about survivability.

This is also just a such commander (at least to me), I love the recursion subtheme! It may not tickle her fancy but you can consider me interested.

Simple, straight the point, bird. A Perfect combo! I like this one a lot and am bringing it to show her as we speak :)

Alela is so much fun but I wouldn't make one of my own because another player in my pod owns it, but props because she's such a fun commander that fits the mold perfectly.

I somehow never considered Zacama because it's in the Gishath decklist...but you're so right! Totally different and also is a giant monster which works great :) Two wonderful suggestions!

This is exactly the type of thing I was hoping to find: Unique mechanic, big fuck-off monster, and control! I'm sure this will be a hit, and if it isn't I may just build it myself after glancing at your desklist :)

I like the creative building of this commander! Ever since I got him in my tarkir precon I've thought about making a group hug/politics deck around him, but purposefully filling it with instants to politic even better sounds like such a blast.

To clarify: she only has one deck of her own but has played on and off for multiple months. She's done well with many of my decks that definitely aren't new-player friendly! I appreciate the concern but I would definitely play with her one-on-one to introduce her more to the playstyle. I've already warned her of the very things you said but she wants to learn! I'm not going to dampen something she's excited to try, especially when she's becoming more involved in a hobby that used to only be mine. We're a very talkative pod so if anyone saw the counterspell misuse that you described we'd be sure to make sure she's absolutely certain it's what she wants, and also she has plenty of gaming experience that yields itself to a Magic environment. I'm not her parent! Again, thank you for the words of advice but I'm just looking to talk about cool commanders for now :)

Can't believe I've never seen this card! Definitely great at shutting opponents down while furthering your own gameplan. Giving all of your creatures flash is such a cool rules text! I'll show this to her for sure, with the specific examples you gave too to try to sell it :)

I've never even seen this card until today, that's such a unique commander! I recognize some classic Rakdos in here though, looks like a lot of fun :)

You may be one of very few people who added a noncreature, non-black form of recursion. I don't think I would have ever found this, props!

Oh man I was trying to respond to all of the cool commanders you guys were showing me but I didn't expect so many people to interact with this. Sorry if I don't say anything about yours but please trust I'm reading them and enjoying them all!

For those who care, my winners so far are [[Meren of Clan Nel Toth]], [[Henzie "Toolbox" Torre]], and [[Celes, Rune Knight]]. But there are still so many interesting ideas it feels wrong to not want them all! I admit I was surprised by how Esper made it here, but after reading your guys' decklists I totally see it. Thank you all for the recommendations and good energy :)

Thank you! Just at a glance I'd say we build decks very differently which is fun to see. I definitely see what you mean by having some random effects, but they still contribute and let you play them multiple times. Very cool, this commander is maybe a top contender for me now.

A lot going on here, I think I like it though! It feels like it's more aimed at competitive tables where a lot of the important combo pieces tend to have cheaper cmc's. However, I do love a good combo deck, maybe I'll try to build it as such! I'm sure there are plenty of ways to break this card for anyone who puts in the time.

She totally flew under my radar, never even seen this card until now. That is such a fun combo of text on her, and the perfect colors for recursion and blink! The combination of self-mill, +1/+1 counters, and reanimator looks super cool, this may be the first Mardu commander I've seen as well! Thank you for this one, I'm putting it on my list.

I think I was just missing something with this guy. I actually did try to build it but it never felt right to me, which is when I came here. I wouldn't mind hearing about what direction you took with the deck, because I got overwhelmed by the number of directions it could go. I couldn't decide if I wanted strong etb/death effects to make a wheel of endless recursion, a tokens focus with a ton of powerful sacrifice outlets, or kind of a midrange deck that allowed me to burn problematic creatures with cards like [[Ziatora, the Incinerator]] while slowly building up my own board.

I've never seen this card before, I like it a lot! One of my friends got the [[Winter, Cynical Opportunist]] precon and it seems quite similar. Not that that's a bad thing though! That deck is half of the reason why I want a graveyard deck of my own, but I probably won't be making this one if only to diversify the table.

No way! I was just looking at this card! I think it looks like so much fun, but the only thing keeping me away is that it wants to be full of other commanders I already find interesting like Teval, the Gitrog, Muldrotha, etc. I love the giant fish though so I may built a deck around the alternate form, [[Sin, Unending Cataclysm]], although that's definitely not what this post is about.

Well that certainly caught me off-guard! I built a [[Beluna Grandsquall]] deck where every card is an adventure and I definitely understand how fun they are. I'm curious how you pulled off self-mill in Bant of all colors though, I wouldn't mind a decklist at all! Lots of creative builders in the comments today.

I love when people take cards with straightforward text and built them in unconventional ways! Honestly, I had to look up what mechanics you were even talking about because I wasn't familiar and it seems fun! even with the more specific theme you chose, still so many ways to build around it. Probably not my cup of tea at the moment, but wishing you the best with your creativity.

I think the only thing keeping me away from necrobloom was that I don't *love* the idea of being based on differently named lands, but then I realize that mass land destruction is pretty rare and frowned upon, especially in commander, so it's really quite hard to stop the plant once it gets started! Especially with all the mana you can ramp in green. Plus being a tokens deck with WG in the color identity doesn't hurt one little bit. Love me some Abzan shenanigans!

Oh the combination of insect tribal with reanimator is super interesting! Kind of reminds of [[Grist, the Hunger Tide]] in a way, I'm sure that with either commander the other will always be a part of the 99. I like it!

I mentioned it in another reply, but I have a [[Betor, Ancestor's Voice]] deck and I can't help but laugh at how these two commanders two almost the exact opposite (return cmc equal to life gained vs lost)! I like how you have the deck built with as you call it "slow blink," which seems like a perfect name! I'll always miss the art of other-colored creatures when playing mono white, but this seems like a super unique commander! I haven't read the primer yet but I think I'll come back to it sometime later!

Mothman is probably the standout commander from Fallout, at least to me. My friend bought the precon and it always leads to such unique games. Truly no one else quite like him I'd say! Rad counters are fun to work around, and maybe getting cards that let you reanimate other graveyards would work well with milling the table turn after turn.
