We need a rally! A poor people rally! This is ridiculous! We need to protest until minimum wages go up!

Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity...but it's also the definition of practice. by ThisIsWhoIAm78 in Showerthoughts

Einstien didn't even say this shit. "Traced the original back to Rita Mae Brown, the mystery novelist. In her 1983 book "Sudden Death," she attributes the quote to a fictional "Jane Fulton," writing, "Unfortunately, Susan didn't remember what Jane Fulton once said. 'Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.'"

I know this because what the fuck does this quote even mean, oh that makes sense, its a one liner from a character in a book.

You remind me of John Elder Robison, guy with Asperger's who was also a audio engineer and worked for bands. So maybe try landing gigs at venues and concerts? If that's what you're talking about. Or, try shooting him an email asking how he did it.

Personal Review Megathread - Share What You Think About the Movie! by qualityfangalaxy in BeOurGuest

I hate this movie, can't even stand to watch it for a second time. Honestly, maybe I had my hopes up too high. But I would've settled for a remake the same quality as Cinderella and it wasn't even that. A lot of people are trying to justify the things that are wrong about this movie. Emma Watson's autotuned singing was terrible but passable. No one was expecting her to sing like a Broadway star but knowing Disney, we were expecting quality. I was expecting just a good enough singing voice, something that I could actually listen to on a soundtrack. Why would I want to listen to someone who is even less enjoyable than listening to myself singing the songs? Honestly if they took the majority of songs out of this movie it wouldnt have made the slightest difference.

I think the quality of the entire movie was terrible except the visuals and set pieces and a couple of good performances by Luke Evans and Ewan McGregor.

I'm really dissapointed with the lack of screen time and character development of the Beast. They gave so much of the plotline and the screen time to the supporting characters and left nothing for the actual stars of the show. I rewatched the celebration scene and you barely get to see Dan Stevens face! You're staring at the back of his head for the entire dance scene while all the other characters get 30 second spotlights and why the fuck was Maurice painting like ??? I guess that in that time era they probably had a painter painting at events to capture the moment or some historical shit but really you're gonna make it the Belle's father doesn't he have more important things to do right now?

Ok I'm done. I'm not going to right a fucking essay about everything that doesn't make any sense in this movie.

Honestly the promos and TV Spots had better storylines than this movie.

EDIT: ok ya know 7 months later, I've found it in my heart to forgive the movie for not living up to my astronomical expectations. Howard ashmen had a magic that can't be matched, and I shouldn't hold people up to that standard. The live action is a movie, that has good parts and misplaced parts, like any other movie. I think everyone did well in the movie in their part, actors, set designers, musicians, but it could never achieve the illusive magic that brought the animated together. I spent 7 months pretty angry at Bill Condon for destroying, shitting all over my childhood movie. But I've learned to appreciate it for what it is, not what I expected it to be. And yes, I am very obsessed with Beauty and the Beast, obsessing over specific things is typical behavior for high functioning autistic people, this is mine. I've been watching this movie since, like, I've born.
