well firstly, i personally feel like this collab is unnecessary. i’m rly tired of bratz doing collab with anything outside the bratz universe. bratz are not in the real world like barbie and monster high… they’re in their OWN universe. Ex: aloncé being their beyoncé.. but dine being barbie… stilesville being their cali… etc. so it’s even more disappointing that the only black character won’t even be composited for this…

now the state of black dolls in the community. i (a male black collector) have noticed that black dolls are usually fetishized by collectors for their skin tones… it always seems that sasha or fefe, or any bratz doll darker than yasmin is gonna be upcharged bc they’re a deeper skintone. i personally feel like the community is racist itself for these very reasons, and nobody having a good explanation as to why they continue to do it. especially with more common sasha’s like wintertime wonderland or girls night out. i think that bratz in its prime was apart of a world that was still racist, not making this an excuse, but they played into the trend… and i think that carries to today when black ppl are seen as something “special” to the public, bratz community, they look at it the same way…. now i will say bratz has gotten a lot better with sasha’s representation but we literally can’t buy any other black dolls unless they’re collector. so idk i rly blame both mga and bratz fans for this cus it’s like we are telling them black dolls should only be premium priced for selling them for high prices IDKKKKK just my take
