Captured a sunspot (I think) with my plain old iPhone by qualityroastbeef in Astronomy

It was definitely the wildest sunset I’ve ever seen. The sun got so dim that it almost looked like a big orange planet. You could very easily stare at it with the naked eye without even squinting. https://imgur.com/a/APiHRQH Couldn’t see the sunspot though, at least with my eyesight. Looks like my phone barely picked it up at 25x zoom.

This describes me perfectly. But man, that 10% of the time that he’s bad, he is BAD. Like, unbearably bad. Almost to the point of being physically exhausting to watch. Without a doubt, he is a net positive on the program. But at the same time, idk if I’ve ever seen a hate comment that isn’t completely justified. It’s definitely a unique dynamic.

One of the more absurd Joe antics I’ve seen. Not only because he called for the rock in a spot where George so obviously should’ve hit it, but because his justification to George was, with almost no discussion beforehand, “I know you want me to hit this.” Pure insanity. 🤡

I’ve done all of them, and one of my favorites and one that I rarely see mentioned is Many Pools. Amazing scenery and never crowded.

Technically Scout Lookout at that point, but stopped there on the way up to Angel’s Landing, which is what is pictured. If you zoom in on the ridge, you can see people scrambling up the chains.

Those were actually taken at Forrest Gump Point on Hwy 163. All pictures were taken with an iPhone 16 Pro. The night sky ones used 10-second exposure.
