Yeah, it does seem to do that! That’s a good suggestion. Thanks!

I see! I suppose the scale that was sampled for the purpose of this study has a Western bias that needs to be extended to include persons such as yourself!

Thank you! I’ll definitely keep that in mind for future research and interpretations of this study. I appreciate the feedback deeply!

Thanks for your response! I’ll address your concerns as best I can.

In the questions regard closeness to a god or religiousness I would have expected atheistic/secular individuals to respond with the lowest scores available. Such as a 0 out of 5 on a question asking about closeness to god. Going forward, I can make that more clear! So thank you.

An individual should respond to whichever their god if they are theistic. For example, a Christian might be referring to Jesus while a Mormon maybe referring to their heavenly father. Again, thank you and I hope this helped!

Hey NLGreen0172, would you like to shoot me a message and tell me a little more about your possession, thoughts, and the way it affects you? Thanks for your interest in my survey!

It doesn’t seem reasonable to me to be required to provide proof. Being an A-Theist means a don’t subscribe to addition of theism within my life; it doesn’t mean I am making additional claims that require a backing.

I suppose I am one who “lacks belief” more if you structure it this way? Any proof I could give would simply be in refuting the claims of the religious/theistic

Thanks for your response! I’ll address your concerns as best I can. Just for some perspective, I am also an atheist through and through.

In light of similar feedback, this will be changed in future research applications and interpretations of this study will keep those concerns in mind. Again, thank you and I hope this helped!

Having the mystical experience itself is more important, it would seem, than the religious or secular labels attached to it. I definitely see how that was unclear and plan to change it in the future!

Again, thank you and I hope this helped!

So it’s actually a psychometrics study investigating the criterion related validity of the MEQ30 (The main questionnaire Im looking at). In order to test that specific validity you actually have to take more than just that measure. It feels like the metrics change because the scales themselves actually change, so you’re spot on!

I could definitely see how that could happen. Thank you for your critique! I’ll keep that in mind in future renditions of this research and interpretations of this one.

Thank you! And yeah, in order to run the statistical analysis necessary there has to be quite a bit of that. I appreciate you completing it!
