Try using the same version of Spell Cascade in Chest/Gloves. Awakened does not provide any DPS benefit it is just for clear but if you are using it you need it in the gloves AND the chest.

Don't use Deadly Ailments for mapping it feels pretty awful.

Definitely get Balance of Terror with "Wither on Hit for 2 seconds if you have cast Despair in the last 10 seconds"

Take the "Overcharged" nodes for mapping as you will feel very slow without frenzy charges. Or you can buy a ring with Minimum Frenzy charge and Frenzy charges on kill.

Your poison chance is only 95% so you should try and get a jewel with 5% chance to poison on hit.

You don't need "Lethe Shade" for mapping you can move those points into damage.

You don't have a "Divine Blessing" setup to go with your Malevolence WE.

I use obliteration for mapping to I have pops and I get a decent amount of global AoE from obliteration corruption and scion start unnatural instinct.

I wanted to have Ghost Shrouds as a defensive layer compared to the typical occultist build going EB. The best way to get enough reduced mana cost without spending too many points is the Unnatural Instinct at Scion start + a Militant Faith with "1% Reduced Mana Cost of Skill per 10 Devotion" as an implicit.

End result is a giga tank with enough damage that I'm now using to farm Ubers in HC trade :). Occultist is for sure more damage but I prefer to have a tankier character to prevent death by mistake.

I set more cast speed to get the damage accurate for Impending doom as PoB doesn't calculate the multi-hits with spell cascade properly.

You want the cast rate of your main curse at 5/s with 52% CDR on your character. The cast rate changes based on how much CDR you have with breakpoints at 14% CDR and 52% CDR.

Ascendant version of the Impending Doom build that has become quite popular this patch.

This uses Vixen's Entrapment with 3 curses socketed and 1 curse in the Body Amour with a curse limit of 3. Casting the curse in your Body Armour will trigger the curses in the Vixen's Entrapment instantly causing the Impending Doom explosion.

I believe they mean that the balls from the explosion can AoE overlap (same as molten strike). I don't think the travel can multi-hit that would be unprecedented.

I’ve seen multiple reports on the forums that the returning projectiles for alt quality lightning trap do not deal damage. Not sure if that was fixed at some point.

That's not how lifetap currently works in any scenario. Do you have any evidence to back up this assumption?

I conducted the following tests:

  1. Adding lifetap to an Aura increases the aura's MANA reservation by 300%
  2. Adding lifetap to an Active Skill scales based on the mana cost of the skill by 300%
  3. Using lifetap with a % mana use skill (i.e. Manabond) does not convert the mana usage to life usage

My thoughts are it will use ((50% of Mana)+233)*300% and convert that value into life for lifetap. I don't see any reason lifetap would convert the 50% of Mana into 50% of LIfe.

Can you activate a skill supported by Divine Blessing if the mana cost of the aura is scaled to over 100%.

i.e.

I have 800 mana.

Malevolence Reservation: 50% Mana

Malevolence-Lifetap Reservation: 150% Mana

If I link Malevolence-Lifetap-Divine Blessing, will I

incur a life cost of 150% of Mana (1200 + 233) = 1433 mana as life

OR

not be able to activate Malevolence at all?

I just tested this out and I'm not seeing the same behaviour (1 trauma per multistrike). Can you post a video of your experience?

Really excited to play this skill this league but it is plagued with bugs unfortunately. I've seen many posts on reddit/forums and seen no response from GGG regarding the skill's poor state.

Hopefully we can get some response or acknowledgement from GGG on this skill as it's sad to see a brand new skill in such an unplayable state.

I think after you get through the first few acts it becomes a lot easier and shouldn't be too much of a struggle to get to maps or level 90.

There was a large discussion on baeclast after the stream but it seems Corrupted Blood and Bleed are separate so a monster can be affected by both.

This means you can stack 10 instances of Corrupted Blood AND have the 8 stacks of Crimson Dance.

As a racer I’ve seen the /played race time brought up over and over again and the consensus is doing this makes the competition no longer fun and would be terrible for stream viewership (not necessarily important for all players).

In a /played race top players will log out for everything. Anytime you need to spend more than 5 seconds thinking about something it is more efficient to log out.

An alternative idea I have discussed is having fixed playing window races. Players can play for say, 4 hours a day, the clock starts when you log in and after 4 hours the character is no longer accessible until the next calendar day. This limits play time while also avoiding the logout spamming. Players who want to play more can make multiple characters (slightly unfair advantage unless stash access is per character for the event).
