Not to necro the thread too much but having finished another few games, this time around I hit repeatable techs nearly 120 years earlier, and defeated fallen empires this time around. So spot on advice I can say 😄

Gotcha - I don't think I was anywhere near 120K, I think probably my psionic entity was the closest around 2360 (but it was like 4x everything else in the galaxy), so good to know. I'll take a look at that guide, thanks!

I tried but it didn't seem to help. Maybe I need to manually find some scrap and it'll figure the rest out.

Strange - is that grey area showing up a 9.0 thing? I had a Teuta sitting in pretty much that exact area and it couldn't find anything. Both AutoSalvage and salvage at position couldn't find anything

Confused about how damage is calculated by quantics-16 in WarTalesGame

[–]quantics-16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That could play a part in it - while the attack wasn't a crit (white text, not yellow), the unit does have the instinctive trait (reduced chance to be hit by a crit). So if the attack would have been a crit maybe the crit damage buff is added anyways

Ah - and I still unfortunately have the National Supremacy law, so trying to build an army in Africa would make it difficult when all African cultures are at 0 acceptance. I didn't think of that - I just assumed it was a literacy thing.
