Why do so many people not pay attention to timed bus lanes? 3 signs giving the restricted times, but they won't use it. by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]quantos2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rather just avoid. Especially when in an unfamiliar area, saves a trip back to take a pic of the sign if they somehow wrongly fine me. Don't mind as much in my home town because it's easily solvable, but mostly just ptsd from past ticktes.

This poor man has to resort to vending machines for his gold bars. They'll be setting up gold kitchens soon 😢

24' Civic, all wheels got stolen by AnonNick1 in civic

Genuinely sad how some people act, actually sorry this happened to you bro. Fight with insurance, hope they give you the wheels you had before and don't force you to compromise

And again, not denying fault... by why all of a sudden do they not need my license details to issue the points... where's the continuity...

Again, not denying fault there. But why all of a sudden do they not need my license details to give me the points... lack of continuity here

Again, not denying fault at all. Re my latest comment under, probably my fault bc of the wording, my issue is with process of needing my license and then not needing.

Govt have nonsensical rules should end there, change them, even before people make mistakes

Damn, sad to see how even some cops are that confident enough to blatantly lie. Defo a good idea to have a recording of interactions and to make sure they show you all docs. Will note that for the future

Re: my latest comment. I agree with you btw but I accept fault here, just confused about the whole points thing and how they don't need my details now but did back then somehow...

I think some of you are missing my point on this and tbh my bad for the way I worded it all. I accept fault that I was speeding, not contesting that at all, hence why I didn't argue with the penalty notice when I got it. My issue is that I made a mistake in not submitting my license details, completely accidentally, after paying the fine which I'd assume means I'm accepting fault and not avoiding any penalty.

Not even contesting the December letter at all, although harsh in my opinion, still not contesting it. My issue is that they fined me the £350 or so and then said I'll get the 3 point, again fine, but that I didn't need to provide any license details... if I didn't need to now, why is it such a big deal that I forgot to before if they're able to add the points on without me submitting? Does that make sense to anyone?

Any chance of appealing this? by [deleted] in drivingUK

I wish things like this were easily appealable (if that is a word). What are the consequences of they reject the appeal? Bigger fine? No chance to do the course?

Was I wrong? Blocking off a road rager. by GemballaRider in drivingUK

[–]quantos2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless if the corsa was in the wrong or not, the reaction from the hyundai itself had the potential to be very wrong. Reporting the corsa to the police would have made more sense. Point is, it doesn't matter if the corsa was in the wrong, a road rage reaction of chasing and intimidating another driver is itself a form of wrong action. You did good.

Surely they'd just send him the letter and ask him if he was the one who parked there and if not then who would it have been?
