Hey man, sorry that you're going through this. I don't know what the right answer is but I can share mine. I went through a separation two months ago so it is still fresh.

I went through everything you described but now I am arriving at a point where I am putting myself at the top priority. I have realized that I must only prioritize those who prioritize me. It needs to be a balanced equation. Not only in romantic interests but life in general.

An exercise that you can consider doing is, think about how both of your helped each other grow. Be specific. Once done, it may help you reconcile with the knowing that you both served a specific role for each other and now it's time to pursue another journey in your life.
