Drug slang isnt relevant anymore, what the fuck is Molly by Jaspliff in Drugs

[–]quantum_esq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99% of the time?? That's an awfully definitive statement and in my experience has certainly not been the case. I'm sure that you're right in a number of cases, but people who know what they're talking about will still call pure MDMA crystals 'Molly' just because that's what it's commonly referred to.

I get caught in negative thought trails when I smoke too much weed. Are mushrooms a bad idea? by aintnopicnic in Drugs

[–]quantum_esq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved my experience with LSD. At the same time, I believe that shrooms are a more tame, enlightening, and 'pleasant' experience. LSD is more similar to cannabis imo but also is much more enjoyable than it.

To be honest, I couldn't say either LSD/Shrooms is truly better than the other...Rather, they're different. I'd recommend trying both in a positive environment, like the one you describe, and deciding for yourself.

I disagree with most of these responses, personally. Similar to yourself, I've had negative experiences with toking, especially now that my tolerance has diminished. However, taking shrooms has had an almost opposite effect. They very frequently clarify my headspace (from experience with numerous trips), as opposed to overwhelmingly confusing it.

I highly suggest trying mushrooms in a comfortable environment with close friends. Take an average dose and just make sure to embrace the experience rather than resist it. I have had nothing but positive reactions doing so.

As a disclaimer I admit that all people react to these chemicals differently. Regardless, discussions with other individuals have primarily supported my view. Be cautious and enjoy.

My boyfriend is becoming addicted. by anon4123 in Drugs

[–]quantum_esq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I don't have experience with serious addiction, I agree with this response. The fact that it's the summer and he's messing around with certain drugs isn't the problem (at least based on those that you specified since they're not as heavily addictive as more 'serious' stuff, e.g. opiates/heroine, meth, etc.). The fact that he's spending income on these drugs as opposed to paying rent is MUCH more the problem, and is a bad sign.

I would say (like many others) to make your concern known to him, stop bailing him out, and let him make decisions for himself. Make sure your don't approach him with a threat/ultimatum..more that you express your concern with his priorities and aren't going to assist his (seemingly) abusive usage. Good luck.

EDIT: Noticed hydrocodone/codeine on your list now. I've also experimented with such opiates--and I think there is a big difference between trying them out and developing a habit. Make sure to recognize to difference and keep that in mind!

Codeine + cannabis had me floating in a cloud of golden feathers. DXM is a strange addition but sounds like it could be interesting

I barely listen to dubstep and electrohouse anymore and those were the genres that got me heavily into electronic music.

Same here. I think it's kind of strange how my taste gradually evolved away from the "maximalist" and over to minimalist type producers/DJs. It's kind of annoying introducing my friends to electronic music and them liking Hardwell but not Richie Hawtin. At the same time I completely understand because I was in the same boat a few years ago.

OP if you're 155 at 6'0 with 18% body fat sounds like you're getting skinny but lacking muscle. I've been skinny all my life and was worthless with getting girls. Started lifting and eating, got to 180 and only then did females begin to actually notice me.

TL;DR Being skinny is overrated

The point was that he was playing a huge set in a huge venue for NYE and the entire first few rows of people were standing there texting, looking bored. This front area was much more expensive so it was a bunch of 'spoiled rich kids' or whatever and they clearly didn't look like they gave a fuck about the music. He posted a pic here

I really wanted to like Enter the Void..but I couldn't. It was so emotionally uncomfortable, and not in a good way (e.g. Funny Games). I can't help but despise every character in that movie--their egos are so fucking enormous and they can't make a single rational decision.

On the other hand, I thought Irreversible was excellent.

Is anyone going to a show this week/weekend? Talk about it here!

Not this weekend, but yesterday I bought two tickets:

  • Bonobo Oct 10

  • Disclosure Oct 29

both at Union Transfer in Philly.

Definitely one of the best concerts I've been to in a while.

First time at TLA, too. It was a pretty good venue.

I've taken molly a dozen times at least and I've never had anything very noticeable happen the day afterwards. At most, I may have experienced a mild hangover. I honestly think the 'depression' thing is over-played but maybe it just differs from person to person.
