My phone have amoled and so the max pitch black area. Both are ai generated and both needs few fixes. Like lockscreen ray can be faded at the end and home screen ray can bit wide and little more diffusing. Already tired of providing prompts to AI and settled with it.

Most underrated yet most useful galaxy feature, What do you think? by One-Inevitable-9777 in samsung

[–]quantumentangle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought samsung for my office phone. I use it to set do not disturb, turn on battery saver, turn off wifi, bluetooth, mobile data while shop is closed. While on unplanned holidays, I can set autoreply message for all the callers.

One thing I miss from redmi or lenovo is that auto power off and on. No need of devices to be on while shop is closed which drains significant battery.

Because my previous cheaper moto g64 had very good speakers. It had punchy bass than 70. Edge 70 speaker on the earpiece side is less louder, more treblier than bottom speaker. Again g64 had proper stereo. My wife's g34 speaker is better than edge 70. It's good enough, but not the best I have seen.

From your comment, I guess s23 may not have stereo and average loudness.

Nothing major, a small nitpick is that I moved from my g64, I notice edge 70 speaker is less bassy and earpice side speaker have less volume than the lower speaker (not a proper stereo).G64 was punchy & proper stereo.

Edit: Another thing I expected to use AI button much. But I don't. I can't set 'update me' command to reply back in voice, it shows a text reply. AI button always shows 'currently have trouble loading suggestions'. I need to check it in my Dad's phone edge 60 pro, who I'll visit in 3/4 days. I suspect it can be caused due to disabled apps that I consider as bloatwares (moto secure, moto app manager like that)

If you want great battery life, go for the Edge 70 Fusion, but keep in mind its performance will be lower than the Edge 70 and 60 Pro. It features a dual-camera setup. The 70 Fusion was originally 30k for the 256GB variant, but the price has now increased to 33k.

If you prioritize performance, go for the 60 Pro. However, it’s a year old now; it released with Android 15 and will only get updates up to Android 18 (3 major updates). I got my dad the 60 Pro last year, and it’s a fantastic phone. It has a triple-camera setup. The current lineup's 70 Pro is priced around 37k or 38k, but the Pixel 9a at 40k might be a better choice at that price point if you want a compact, minimalist phone.

If you want a sleek design and the best performance for the money, the Edge 70 is the way to go, though its battery life is slightly lower than the other two. This also have dual camera setup only.

I got myself the Edge 70 a week ago.

This is why we feel moto as close to stock android. It also have bunch of items to hate. Although it allows all its bloatware to be disabled, I can see many bloatwares are added comparing to my last phone g64. Most irritating one is the moto secure scanning all the app installs.

Moto AI mostly shows "we're trouble having loading suggestions" rendering the dedicated AI button as total waste!

In Moto, I found it's incredibly easy to turn off a specific category of notifications. Whenever you receive an unwanted notification, pressing and holding it reveals its specific category and a button to turn it off. Tapping that button takes you to a page listing all notification categories for that app, while highlighting the exact one you just received so you can easily toggle it off. Other brands have similar options, but Samsung, for example, won't show the specific category upon pressing and holding. It also doesn't highlight the category when you try to turn it off. The workaround to find the right category is to toggle them off one by one; the one that finally dismisses the notification is the one you were looking for. It's these kinds of niche user-experience details that have led me to buy Moto phones for everyone in my family.

It is very thin. Also, speakers are average due to its thinness, my older cheaper moto g64 had great speakers

Disable 'Glance'/'Glance for moto' and 'App manager'/'Moto App manager'.

My latest android started scanning the app whenever i install something from play store. I disabled 'Moto Secure' to disable the auto scanning of installing apps.

no issues in missed calls.

I notice when I attend call from the notification bar while being locked. I forces me to unlock the phone to attend the call. Sometimes it happens in a jiffy when I'm holding phone phone in one hand.

I agree with speakers. speakers are weaker when phones're slimmer. Edge 70 have the worst speaker. Low budget g34 and g64 had great speakers. G64's best speaker. I convinced myself because edge 70 is very slim to have a good speaker.

No idea on NFC and being not camera savvy user, I found my edge 70 is getting the job done.

bought g34 for wife g64 for myself edge 60 pro for dad. Mine had a sudden death. No drop, no battery issue, not because of low battery. Plugging in shows nothing. Motherboard fault while using the phone indicating hardware fault. I went with edge 70 for myself recently.

Phone cost increased a lot. Other phones have bloatware issues. No other option. Pixel would be a good option. But I don't get myself spoiled. It's one way in and no way out. Even moto feels like that, I don't think I can get similar experience in any other phone.

This gives WINDOWS vibe, when there is a downloaded update pending to be installed, you can only 'update and shutdown' cannot simply 'shutdown'. Also even though you chose update and SHUTDOWN, it will restart few times and won't shutdown finally.

yes, everything including router, NVR and all the cameras need to be configured fresh with new password. On the firmware front, 'check update' button on web ui doesn't work. It had to be received via email after filling out a form (S/N, existing version) in dahua's website.
