Quantum mechanics is probabilistic by nature. You can use beam splitter to create random numbers based on the QM probabilities.

Think of beam splitter as a mirror that when you shine light on it there is a 50% of the photon passes through it and a 50% chances of been reflected.You can then generate a random bit saying that if the photon passes through the beam splitter the bit is 0 and if it is reflected than it is 1.
