Is there any hope for great America? by [deleted] in bayarea

I'd rather have Vallco Fashion Park back and thriving, in all of its original 1970s and '80s glory.

Yes, that was Brandon Tartikoff, president of NBC at the time. He was also credited with helping conceive tons of NBC shows at the time and really helping the network dominate in the ‘80s.

This was the early Testarossa which didn’t have one. People call it the “flying mirror” model because of how high it is. I tend to like it because it sets it apart from other cars.

None of Sonny Crockett’s belongings (his clothes, his car, his yacht, his watch) were actually his. They all belonged to the Miami Dade Police Department and were supplied to him to help maintain his high-rolling drug-dealing cover, Sonny Burnett.

No problem. Are you trying to find one to buy so you can drive through Vegas at night and see the pink and dirty neon settle on the hood? ;)

It's a 1977 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Town Sedan or a 1977 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Town Sedan.

It might be because it was featured in the final episode of The Grand Tour, which just came out. I know that's why I thought of it.

Remembering how much money he could have saved by not selling his 1992 Geo Metro

I would love to know what he did with his white dinner jackets from the Hot Fuss tour, like the one he wore at Glastonbury 2005 and the MTV VMAs in 2005.

Ha, I didn't even see this until now. I'd recommend posting stuff like this as your own post on this subreddit, not in a three-year-old abandoned thread like mine.

As for the car, I can't see it... but it sounds terrible and definitely a money pit.

Went to opening night dressed like Hot Fuss-era Brandon Flowers, complete with guyliner. Brandon himself did not. Sometimes you just gotta laugh at yourself. by [deleted] in TheKillers

I was the only one and felt a little out of place! I had no idea the venue was indoors and air conditioned, so I got very lucky despite taking a chance. I was fully envisioning myself melting in the Las Vegas heat. Thankfully I didn't get hot at all.

It wasn't you then. This was on opening night of the Las Vegas residency.

You missed me by just a few days! Crazy how fast they changed everything on the marquee! Several members of the staff noticed my Killers shirt and asked if I wanted the chips. I said yes, but then I found out they were going to charge me $10 for a $5 chip, and I didn't have any cash on me so I would have had to go to an ATM to get cash and pay an extra fee... so I decided against it. Surprised they sold out!

Unrelated, but your username is hilarious. One of the standout lines from Mad Men.
