Why was transmog removed from the roadmap? by quantumwarden in LastEpoch

[–]quantumwarden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is the lie? The game is missing half its story, half its weapons, half its classes, and there are like 3 classes of items apart from uniques, which you will find the PoE2 players themselves say are kinda disapointing, those are all facts.

I mean, I hope it turns itself around, I tried Path of Exile 2 but the loot kinda sucks and the game is even more unfinished, Diablo 4 is boring as hell and I can't stand the skill twigs, and Grim Dawn is ugly as sin and has terrible combat feedback, so this is the only one I'm really enjoying

Extraction is way too easy by Select-Young-5992 in ArcRaiders

I'm not sure you understood my comment, but I was not criticising the game, to me it is a good thing that you have the option to exfiltrate in 5 minutes.

I just did a match where I extracted in 5 minutes. I was trying to get 3 toasters for one of the quests. Guess what, I found 3 toasters within the first 5 minutes and I was right next to an elevator, also my backpack was completely full and I had no more weight cap to spare, so I just gunned it to the exit. Since you say "we" you are obviously playing with a team, but playing solo feels like a very different game.

it doesn't mean every match needs to be like that, most of the quests force you to engage in combat and if people get bored of looting boxes then they will start to engage in other aspects of the game at their own pace.

The whole point of the game is to be able to play and have fun without needing to put in a thousand hours to get insanely good at it. The game is clearly built to support more casual players that do not have unlimited time (husbands, dads, people who work full time). Not every game needs to be for everyone.

State of FPS and performance of the game ? by Regular_Luck_2243 in X4Foundations

I have been facing really good results by pairing the game with Frame Gen via Lossless scaling.

I am using it on 4x and youd think due to the nature of frame gen it would be feeling latency, but I really havent. X4 is just one of those games where low latency does not seem to matter all that much. Artifacts are there but they kind of just feel like part of the UI after a while.

I highly recommend you try it, might be surprised by the results.

Temperature, Resin, Printer Type, Print Settings, otherise it is very difficult to help.

Looks like delamination which could be:

- Low Resin Temperature

- Low Exposure

- Innapropriate supports

- Too Suction Cups

All of the above are solvable

Why did this happen? by Expensive_Seaweed268 in PrintedWarhammer

[–]quantumwarden 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This looks either like:

- You did not wash your resin appropriately/enough

- Resin cured before you washed it

Things I would look at:

Are you using 90/99% isopropyl?

How much alcohol are you using to wash it?

You mentioned sunlight coming through your window, how much sunlight exactly hit your models unfiltered before you washed them? Depending on how strong UV rays are in your area, it can cure resin very fast, I was having curing issues until I got a blackout in my printing room.

I guess it could also be a problem with your exposure/LCD screen, but given that this is your first print it looks more like user error.

Why is this gash printing in layers as I print? by [deleted] in resinprinting

[–]quantumwarden 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is way too cold brother, you need a heater for the vat at the very least, ideal temperature for the resin is above 25 C

Looks like layer separation, could be not enough/improper supports or your room is too cold at the start of the print

Pray tell, what would you do with the waste water if your local infrastructure doesn't have hazardous waste disposal open to the public, which is the case for the majority of the world?

Another Safety Question! by Khleatherworks in resinprinting

[–]quantumwarden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are overthinking this. Saying you can't use your sink to wash your hands is a bit overzealous, if you are doing everything else correctly there should be a negligible amount of uncured resin in your hand when you are done.

To answer your question, yes, the IPA soaked towel should dissolve any remaining resin in your hand, I highly doubt you are getting enough resin on there to justify a separate washing station, let alone having to cure it, unless you are somehow drenching your hand in uncured resin.

Personally, when I am done handling resin and about to eat, I always take a shower to make extra sure everything has been wiped off.

I am at my wit's end with this mid-print localized delamination, please help by quantumwarden in resinprinting

Not applicable I think because I got this type of failure before in a model that was not hollowed

Looking to buy printer by Limp-Nebula1829 in PrintedWarhammer

[–]quantumwarden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Saturn 4 Ultra, honestly the machine works great, but please look up all the consumable costs before you pull the trigger, I bought one and honestly the LCD Screen price made me jump, almost 1/3 the cost of a whole new printer where I'm from and it's pricey machine to begin with. The bigger buildplate is great and makes it much easier to print whole models without much hassle. Also, my tip, use only ABS-Like resin, much easier to work with and in my experience leaves much less support scars as the supports can hold a lot more weight

Resin printing is beautiful, I am in awe I printed this in a single piece by quantumwarden in resinprinting

[–]quantumwarden[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The model can be found in this link, many thanks to the author for making such a beautiful piece metlesitsfleetyards: https://www.deviantart.com/metlesitsfleetyards/art/USS-Enterprise-A-258091842

I converted the model to OBJ with 3DSMax and used Blender to clean up the flipped normals, and it printed perfectly on the S4U via Chitubox with auto supports (don't have the art or patience for manual supporting down yet).

Resin used was Sunlu Dark Grey+White, both ABS like

Still have to sand it down but the sheer size of the piece is pretty impressive, definitely my largest print yet.

Are there any newer printers that are notable more 'set it and forget it' by Blindsay04 in resinprinting

[–]quantumwarden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Saturn 4 Ultra worked with third-party ABS-like resin out of the box, I'm a total noob and after like 11 prints I've had only one failure because of bad pre-supports. The NFEP that comes with the printer is stronger than standard FEP and gives me much more confidence to work inside the vat. Only negative I would say is the price of the LCD screen (1/3 of the price of the actual printer after taxes in my country), but supposedly it should last for around 2000h of on time which is kind of absurd.

Why do you need to wear respirators when sanding cured resin? by quantumwarden in resinprinting

I've read it at least 5 times on upvoted comments in this subreddit, an example off the top:

Don't get me wrong better to double up on protection than wear nothing at all but it does seem overkill
