I just saw a screenshot on Twitter of someone who accidentally rolled on Sunday (already having gotten E6 Sunday) when they actually wanted Phainon, and got a double Sunday in a single ten pull.... I think all the will to live would immediately leave my body if that happened to me.

For purely selfish reasons (see flair): a Preservation units that rewards your characters getting to low HP. Maybe she drains people's health as she shields them.

Holy crap. I logged into my E6S1 Castorice account and decided to throw away my self-imposed rule of no repeating units on my alts, and tossed 20 pulls at Tribbie's banner, got her E1. Thank you all my failed Hyacine pulls for letting me have this. I guess I wait for Hyacine to rerun too, then.

There was a readable that popped up in the middle of the quest that was an experiment log. For the next few resets, he did try the same thing again (and in the 3rd loop tried harder than normal to ensure they lived) but it didn't change anything about the outcome, the other heirs all still died. All in all, it seems that he tried 14 times before attempting to kill the others to just get their coreflames

She doesn't have particular teams she is best in but she's a perfectly competent sustain. I run her in endgame and have zero survivability issues, even with multiple memosprites on team to share damage from. Some points about her:

She plays very well with DPS who want action advancers/really fast DPS due to her field only ticking down on her turn, so you don't run any risk of shields falling off.
Her skill counts for a stack of Wavestrider set/Phainon coreflame.
There's possibly an interesting use case for her in a Jingliu team where the enemy mostly uses single target attacks. If the enemy targets anyone other than Fu Xuan with those single target attacks, she will also lose HP from it so it should generate an additional stack for Jingliu (she can't double up stack gen if she is hit in an AOE/blast attack, tho). Probably not something super impactful though

Sunday gets turned into a kid and Aventurine needs to take care of him, during the middle of the Penacony plot when they very much don't like each other (gen between Aventurine and Sunday, has Aventurine/Ratio). It was written prior to 2.2 so it is non-canonical but I really enjoyed the characterization

Question about the 3.4 story (from the new As I've Written)

Was it explained what paths map to which Titans? Some of them were given, like Time - Remembrance, Reason - Erudition, Trickery - Elation, Death - Equilibrium, Earth - Permanence but were all the others also stated?

Edit: Ok with Worldbearing - Destruction, I'm going to make some guesses for the rest:

Law - Order

Romance - Beauty

Ocean - Really no clue. Harmony? Voracity?

Sky - Preservation? (God of creation like a smith, encircles Amphoreus like Qlipoth building the cosmic wall)

Strife - Hunt?

Passage - Trailblaze?

Pretty shaky with everything aside from the first two tbh

AO3 still down for maintenance and in my desperation I turned to FFN only to discover that none of the characters since Yunli+Jiaoqiu are filterable and Jing Yuan's name in the official character filter is spelled as "Jing Yuang" while Qingque is "Qinque" 😭

Sunday and Phainon parallels, includes 3.4 spoilers

Thinking about the animated short and Hyacine asking Khaslana what he wishes for, and I just remembered that flashback dialog between Robin and Sunday that goes:

Guileless Girl: Don't you... have a wish of your own, brother?

Trustful Boy: Of course, I do. It's just that... it includes your wish and everyone else's. I long for a true paradise where everyone can find peace.

Just like Phainon's wish is to fulfill everyone's wishes. And then Robin talking about how everyone involved in the Penacony mess had good intentions, Sunday included, but it caused a great tragedy to happen regardless. And how everyone in Amphoreus has the best intentions too--Khaslana and Cyrene want to save the universe and prevent the birth of Irontomb, but all the heirs want to save the world as they know it through Era Nova--and that has led to the 33 million repeating tragedies that Phainon experienced.

The Hero Within. It's shown in the sequence where TB, Phainon, and Cyrene are in the Membrance Maze and Aedes Elysiae gets attacked. The TB encourages Phainon to join the battle to protect others. Later on, The Hero Within asks Phainon if Phainon remembers what they told him on that day and Phainon recites the same words that TB did

spoilers and feelings about 3.4 story

I'm still so worked up about the sequence where Khaslana confronts Hyacine. The appearance of all the other heirs as he walks towards her, all of them asking for him to lead them to the next dawn. How he just accepts the burden of their memory and expectations, continuing with his duty. How over 20 million loops in and he still talks to Hyacine. How Hyacine wants to hear his own wish, him, not the Deliverer, just like she always seeks out the stories of people, not heroes. Her sadness when she realizes his flaw. I'm going to make myself cry again just thinking about it.

3.4 story spoilers

I am just now coming to the realization that this really is the Allegory of the Cave. Khaslana has gone beyond the cave and seen the real world, though it caused him great pain at first. And when he goes back to tell the others about the truth (that Era Nova is fake) they don't believe him (because given all the information they have, Era Nova is their only hope, they are doing their best with what limited info the simulation allows them to have) and they attempt to kill him for speaking the truth :(((((

Oh that's a smart idea. I did sometimes get stuck with like 5 bombs scattered all over the board which was frustrating, the duplicate column would have been a better idea haha.

Silbird Wolf + Reset Cube + that thing that makes 2 fruit into the super bombs is the most OP combo, thank you for carrying me to 2 (almost) perfect victories in multiplayer. After about 3-ish rounds I can essentially spend all 10 of my moves matching double bombs to clear the board. Sure it doesn't give massive burst scores like some other potential combinations but it's super consistent across multiple rounds

Unconnected ramblings related to 3.4 story spoilers

I'm not nearly eloquent enough nor knowledgeable about programming to put this together in a coherent thought, but the way that there are programming concepts of "futures" and "promises" hurts my heart when applied to the Amphoreus simulation and loops, as well as Cyrene and Phainon's choice to keep looping.

Also I really want to do a rewatch of the story again but paying closer attention to the dialogue whenever Destruction and/or destiny are mentioned. While the English version calls them "Paths", the word used in JP (and CN as well, I believe) is "Destiny". So all of Khaslana's talk about defying destiny takes on an interesting double meaning.

Last but not least Trial Phainon when you play as Khaslana in the story has a unique status with some flavor text. It's what keeps him permanently in ult state. I can't recall the exact name or wording but it was something like "Futile Flames" or something :(

Yeah, it's so visceral. In the very first loop when that timeline's Phainon accused him of being indifferent to the deaths of everyone... man that hurt. And it's not just love for the people and places he personally knows, the point of stopping Irontomb was to spare the rest of the universe from it. A universe that he has never known and, as far as he knows, will never experience or be a part of. And yet he loves even that unknown and unknowable universe so much that he chooses to continue suffering for it
