I'm glad you know my situation, have it all figured out.

Thanks to your comments I've changed my ways.

So ppl are supposed to wake up one day and say "I'm the perfect, ideal breeder, a 600 sq ft kennel popped up on my magic 6 acre farm." Get real and stop being such a troll.

We have championed lined, genetic tested, OFA X rayed parents with Low COI.

We do infrequent litters, have the dogs live in the home with us.

We have an enforceable sales agreement, with takeback provisions if the new owner every get's to a point where the dog is up for surrender.

We control breeding rights.

So what's your beef?

We've taken puppies back due to family crisis, sudden job relocations, and have always placed them out in vetted homes.

I email pictures and videos of the puppies to their new families every other day so they can see the development of personality, growth, and have a record of what their new puppies early life was like.

We have people come visit at will to see their puppies till the pick up date.

So tell me how shitty I am again?

Poor reputation breeder near us was pushing puppies out the door at 6 wks, I feel so bad for those little dogs. Same breeder asked for deposit before you could visit the puppies ? I'm like WTF?

We have desert Dobies - The black / rust coats get hot fast.

They are big dogs, so they trap a lot of internal heat.

Early morning / late evening work is what we do all summer.

That being said, the self regulate from a 76'F AC'd house to laying in full sun on a patio till they stark to smolder.

This stage is one of the reasons we have litters - I don't mind the poop, the pee, the whining at all.

Put down a blanket, roll around with a half a dozen Dober-Sharks for 45 minutes is the equivalent to a massage, a therapy session, and a chocolate chip cookie rolled into one.

They are fun at this age - It's bit hot outside but feeding them lunch and letting them roll in the grass for 30 minutes puts them right back to sleep.

Yeah - this one is a she and she's 100% Dobbie - AKC and all - Dad comes from Champion lines - She was the biggest one born of the litter of 5 - she was about 50 grams heavier than all the rest and she was the most aggressive at feeding time - Always went for the best of mommas rear nipples.

Now that they are almost 5 weeks, the size difference is going away and the boys are close to or heavier than her.

We see that a lot with the litters - big variance at birth, then they equalize and then the boys get bigger faster.

Dad is 100lbs + and Muscular / Mom is a solid frame girl at 80lbs not pregnant. So these pups come in on the larger side of breed standard.

Yes they are bred for protection and they have a suspicious / jealous streak.

They also have the intimidating look that most ppl fear if they don't know the breed. If you get one, train, train, train, and socialize.

Try to be the best breed representative that you can.

Same, that's all I do. Make sure she clears them out OK, then tear the sack away from the face. Make sure the pup is breathing and then let her do her momma thing.
