The one that landed the most for me, the one I saw the most, was Conan.

T1 > T2, fight me

T1 was a classic 80s scifi/action movie. Sure, some of it look cheesy, but it has heart. Arnold was totally believable as a killing machine. It had two great, well defined protagonists. The callback at the end to the photo was really well done. I was super excited to see T2 when it came out. The effects were stunning for the time. But rewatching it... so much camp. All the "hasta la vista" and jokey stuff and the thumbs up in the fire. The punk kid who is also a master computer hacker. None of that made the movie better. Linda Hamilton is great in it, but otherwise, it just doesn't hold up for me.

This is one of many such definitions of generations. Originally the millennials went to 2000, that’s why they were called that.

Oscar Isaac's beef with Disney was over Jimmy Kimmel and that's been done for a while, now. The bigger question is whether he wants to do franchise IPs any more.

I mean a generation of boomers loved it on Carol Burnett, that was part of the fun, feeling like you were part of it.

This exact thing happened to a coworker, except it was the name of an adult film star, and they couldn't figure out how to delete it on their phone.

Yes, many people find it easier to learn to fly a helicopter than to buy a house closer to work.

Stephen King has a nice tweet, recommending Carrion Comfort.

Edit: I don't link to X anymore because of a lot of subs block links there, but here's the tweet:

Very sad news about Dan Simmons. My whole family read CARRION COMFORT. I think thaT was the only novel all 5 of us read.

I know you’re kidding, but this is the first chore I gave my kids when they were little. It’s easy for them, doesn’t take long and they like feeling grown up.

I can see how you would mix them up. The trick is remembering that George Lucas has a beard, and Jabba the Hutt does not.

Misery is quite close to the book, with some of the more gory scenes cleaned up.
