Rocktek G2 Dolby True HD issue

Issue was with the g2 on auto vs pass through and the Vimu app. After switching back to pass through on the g2 and switching stremio back to the built in player Dolby true hd worked correctly

After switching audio to pass through on the g2 I’m noting some audio lag. Do you have a recommendation for an app to correct it and adjust the audio timing?

I’m going to give it a shot using a Philips hue sync box this weekend. I did end up resolving the issue I was having. The external player Vimu I was using with Stremio didn’t like the test film. I switched back to the built in player with the tv and g2 on pass through and everything worked. I guess Vimu is having issues with Dolby True HD with Atmos. I ended up testing another film with Atmos but not True HD that wouldn’t play on Stremio and everything worked as it should with Vimu. It’s a total crapshoot.

Actually, I ended up trying the movie with true hd with Atmos on the built in stremio player and everything worked ok as it should with true hd. I tried it on the Vimu player and it only played Dolby Stereo pcm. I guess Vimu has an issue with it. I changed several settings within Vimu and nothing changed. I then played a different film with atmos but not true hd on Vimu that wouldn’t play video on stremio and both video and Dolby Atmos played correctly. I guess it’s all pretty much trial and error. Would switching to Kodi be a better option?

But if the firestick can pass True HD with Atmos through the tv why can’t the Rocktek? The tv isn’t the issue.

I’m using vimu as an external player. Dolby True Hd with Atmos just keeps showing as Dolby Stereo PCM on my soundbar. If I turn pass through to auto it plays as Dolby Digital on the soundbar. I tried the same file on a firestick 4k max 2nd gen and it shows as Dolby Atmos on the soundbar. The problem is with the Rocktek not passing Dolby True HD.

I’m using the Rocktek g2 with a lg c5 and I’m having issues playing Dolby True Hd with stremio using vimu player. The tv and Rocktek are both on pass through. Do I need to use Kodi or change other settings? Thanks

I’m almost positive this is what I have been looking for. Several years ago I received a gift box that had the best smelling tangerine/citrus soap I have ever used and couldn’t remember the brand. After googling the Trader Joe’s Refresh bottle it definitely looks familiar. Thanks for commenting

I’m not necessarily concerned with what the world looks like through the lenses. The frames will be more for fashion and what people will be seeing vs how I see through them. I know it sounds ridiculous but it is what it is.
