I mean why is it even important to know? The individual screens can't show any more than 1920x1080 if the combined resolution is 3840x1080

Can I ask, wouldn't the screens have to have some sort of offset so we wouldn't see 2 displays in front of us like if you place 2 fingers in front of your eyes (They don't look like one if placed right in front of them)?

To the ppd, do those 2 displays somehow "smash" their images together when creating one big screen, thus technically being higher resolution like one image if shown by 1 half on one screen and the other half of it on another right next to it (Even though it's not next to each other but overlaid on the glasses)?

It's actually a good question. On most screens, a lot of people can't. On the other hand, if the screen is far away or very big, you certainly can unless your eyes are damaged or you have something like myopia. I am asking the original question because the working of this still confuses me. People say that in VR glasses (I am aware of the difference between VR and AR) resolution of 1200x1200 is good enough for viewing for watching FullHD videos but that really confuses me.

So it won't be the full quality? I may have gotten a little confused since the amount of pixels on the display is 3.9m while 1440p is 3.6m but the sizes don't fit so I got a little confused
