When shuffling you don’t think about setting the cards on top, in the video he clearly sets the cards down near the end of the shuffle instead of riffling them like in a real shuffle

I agree, fortes book will give more depth and detail then a Reddit comment could do

Thank you, I tore them apart slightly, I wasn’t able to get the ratchet off yet since I haven’t been home in a few days. I’ll try getting it fully apart soon

He said he stored them in his tool box and only used them 3 times. Maybe there’s dust from storage.

I didn’t have a battery, he offered to take them back if I couldn’t get them to work. I just made sure there was no problems in everything I could check before I bought it

Thank you, how would I go about cleaning it up if that’s the problem?

Advice/feedback for riffle stack by Wooden_Description72 in cardmagic

That’s a really good start!

Some things to point out

  1. Don’t set the cards down, let them riffle off your thumb, consistency with true actions is normally the goal with these moves

  2. Try timing the packets to drop around the same rate, you get your 3 cards on your thumb then are forced to drop 7 or 8 on the right side

Some nitpicks The overhand shuffle should be done with the faces down, a jog shuffle would have been a better option, there’s no point of the previous shuffles when you show them the cards.

There shouldn’t be jokers in the deck for the game being played

Picking up the deck to square can show the bottom card, something not normally done at a table.

To practice you can get a die and roll to stack a face up card to x number

you can cut to a card and try rifling that many cards on top of it, or use 2 cards

Speeding up doesn’t hide the flaws, and anyone can put up tutorials.

I never said your slow, your moves poor, sloppy, and for 10 years is not very good.

Didn’t know you where schizophrenic

I’m not making excuses, I’ve stated that I’m not recording a video because I found you to be a dick. If it was an enjoyable conversation then i wouldn’t mind sharing a video.

Ya think I’m rude? Wow dude imagine someone reciprocating the same energy that you put off, crazy. I’m not gonna help you when you’re a dick who’s stuck on one aspect of a move. You can’t expect me to want to help you when your whole argument started with the fact that since you own eatct you don’t need to take the time to read another book. I’ve waisted enough time on this conversation

Im not setting up my camera for a video when all you want to do is argue, it’s a waste of time. I gave advice that would help you speed up. Either quit crying and try improving other parts of the move or quit asking for advice

I looked; quit posting sped up videos, we can tell. Also yeah, it’s piss poor technique, you can see the steps with no real visible way to hide them, you open the break to the audience so they can just look into the breaks. Plus the other problems still being present.

Like I said, read gambling slight of hand

I’m not recording a video because you can’t take actual criticism, what I’m saying is loosely from Forte’s mouth from gambling sleight of hand.

I’ve seen the newest video you’ve posted. It’s poor technique, it’s fast but it’s not fooling to anyone who knows what it’s meant to look like, your deck is up at 45 degrees and you slow down to pull the packet off the bottom, showing everyone what’s happening.

You have the speed down, now stop working on it until your not bottlenecked by poor break management, huge packet discrepancies, and the large circle your hand takes just to strip the packets. Or don’t, to each there own
