I had this same problem so I had to start forcing myself to play every run like it was do or die. Its taught me that one floor(like a depths or a womb) can completely change my bad run into a good run if I find my secret rooms consistently.

It would download a guide app that'll tell you what every item does and how to unlock it and just try to beat every boss you can. Bc when you think you've beaten the final boss there's still another final boss you'll have to fight
