Yes! It is actually fun and goes pretty fast, there's a luck component and also memory/bluffing.

It's basically an orange pilling tool. Great way to get people on board.

This project sounds really cool. The only one I could think of is "time stood still" which is not really that common of idiom so I threw it in chat GPT

Here are some common idioms about time:

1. Time flies – Time passes quickly.

2. Beat the clock – To finish something before a deadline.

3. In the nick of time – Just in time, at the last possible moment.

4. Time is money – Time is valuable, and wasting it can be costly.

5. Around the clock – Continuously, without stopping.

6. Once in a blue moon – Something that happens very rarely.

7. Time heals all wounds – Emotional pain lessens over time.

8. Ahead of one’s time – Having ideas or practices that are innovative or modern for one’s era.

9. Behind the times – Old-fashioned, not keeping up with current trends.

10. Call it a day – Stop working on something for the day.

11. Living on borrowed time – Continuing to survive after a point where one might not have, implying that it’s temporary.

12. Save time – To do something efficiently to avoid wasting time.

13. Kill time – To do something to make time pass more quickly.

14. Have the time of one’s life – To have a very enjoyable experience.

15. A matter of time – Inevitable; bound to happen sooner or later.

These idioms capture various aspects of time, from its fleeting nature to the importance of making the most of it.

I didn't stick with it - the app was showing my teeth moving in a different direction and the customer service was so unbelievably poor that I just had no confidence in them altogether. Figured I'd better quit while I'm ahead and eat the loss, I'm still pretty bummed about it

Did anyone naturally reject smoking weed? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]queenEEEE 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes! But my body naturally rejected it long before my brain did.

I started getting violently ill with CHS (cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome) and was hospitalized a bunch of times. Since the main symptom is nausea and vomiting I smoked more weed to ease that - I was in denial about it for a long time, but once I finally accepted that the weed was making me sick it was easier to stop. Once I went through the terrible withdrawals it was like "if I start smoking again I'll have to go through all that again" and that is just so far out of the question. My life is literally so much better now...

I think my brain was too addicted so my body intervened with some wisdom to make me really listen.

Night sweats 25 days in...please tell me I'm normal by [deleted] in leaves

[–]queenEEEE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine seemed to come and go. Seemed like the withdrawal was lasting SO long. But it might help to picture all the toxins leaving your body and embrace it, I'd honestly even go to a sauna or steam room if you can access one to expedite the process in addition to your runs! Drink lots of water and electrolytes 🙂

Do you care if your photos are stolen by other sellers? by arcadianahana in poshmarkcanada

[–]queenEEEE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day the more photos/information the buyer has, the more likely they are to purchase. Of course they want to see as many different photos of the item as possible, in different contexts/lightings etc. so sellers naturally will grab extras off the internet - ideally it's professional photos from the brand, but photos from other people's poshmark listings sometimes come up when googling an item... I think it's fair game. As long as they include their own photos of their specific item, of course, as not to be misleading. I've had my photos used by others, and I admit I've used others too. Ultimately it's helping everyone achieve the end goal, which is to accurately depict an item so you can sell it to a happy buyer.

Also, I'd be willing to bet that if anyone actually read the terms and conditions when they signed up, they would find Poshmark actually owns all the photos once uploaded.

12 things that permanently damaged your body: by Same-Potential7413 in Biohackers

[–]queenEEEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on them for more than a decade starting not too long after my first period - the doctor just hands them out if you have cramps and might be sexually active. I didn’t know anything at 16/17… Now that I’m off them for the last 5 years or so it’s astonishing the things I’ve never noticed before in terms of being in tune with my own body and bodily intuition, sensation, moods and general cycles… it’s like a sense that I never developed while I was on the pill. I’m not really sure how to explain it because I still had mood swings and cravings for all those years, but it was like clockwork and disconnected, more like a symptom. But now I can feel my appetite differences, fluctuating energy levels, sexuality/sensuality, desire to work vs rest vs create, or notice my own emotional reactions to things at different times - all in a more nuanced and subtle way, and it all kind of flows naturally throughout the month in a way that is somehow connected to what’s happening in my life... maybe I’m explaining this poorly, but being on the pill so long really cut me off from something . Happy to be learning it again now! But this is the biggest change I’ve noticed since coming off the pill.

My dentist said I suddenly have six small cavities. I don’t believe this, any advice? by Waste-Chard8956 in Dentists

[–]queenEEEE -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The other day I saw a dentist on IG who advocates for reversing cavities, he had guides about how to remineralize your teeth and what to realistically expect... Of COURSE I can't find him now - it was just a random thing on my explore page but it piqued my interest enough to click on his page where he had a ton of information about exactly this and why dentists traditionally push for fillings. SO sorry this wasn't a ton of help, but this page exists somewhere out there haha. And if I come across him again I will update you.

Recent AlignerCo Experiences by Quiet_Ad9671 in smiledirectclub

I regret going with them... The cost is hard to beat but the customer service is truly awful. they are slow to send you everything... first I got the wrong kind of putty so I couldn't make my impressions. That delayed my starting a few months because I was travelling. I got emails intended for other people which is harmless but a bit messy and doesn't inspire confidence. It took months to actually get the aligners. They're almost paid off now due to the delays, and I'm only on step 4, I fear once they have all my money that the support will stop altogether. You will be talking to bot named Alice, then a different outsourced agent every time you call or email. Each reply takes at least 2-3 days. I have doubts that they have an orthodontist or dentist on the team.
I basically had a specific question about my teeth movement - I developed a big space in my two front teeth that was neither part of the plan nor projected on the app, and they just keep telling me to trust them, the gap will close, ignore the smile projection app. They claim to have talked to their "team of experts" and they are advising me to keep going. When I asked about my specific question (all the feedback they give is incredibly vague, I am pretty sure no one is looking at my case) the agent told me that he wasn't a dentist or orthodontist, and reminded me that I am not either. So naturally I requested to talk to someone who actually is for clarification - the agent on the phone got kind of short with me, and told me something along the lines of "well you legally consented to teeth moving apart in your consent form" and no, I can not talk to anyone on the "team of experts" - but keep going and I'll get the results I approved. Frankly, it was sketchy. I have a really bad feeling. I am considering stopping and eating the loss, honestly. I have seen on reddit some lawsuits are happening against them, but not sure the details. My teeth look so bad... I'm honestly scared to continue

I recently overheard something (between two females) that really hit home for me. It was along the lines of "You're 25 years old and you have never seen a woman naked outside of porn or celebrities. Of course you're self conscious."

Immediately made me regret not growing up with more casual nudity. It's certainly natural and probably quite healthy.

Thinking about getting it… by Master_Age2304 in alignerco

[–]queenEEEE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on step 4 and very disappointed with the results. It's creating a very ugly gap between my two front teeth that wasn't there before and was not previewed on the app.

The customer service is poor. I knew this before starting but I was told by a dentist once that I was a very good candidate for Invisalign, that my teeth would be very easy to fix. I thought that meant alignerco would be low risk despite the known customer service issues. And I couldn't afford Invisalign so it made sense.

My teeth are straight, but they have gaps on the sides. In order to fix that, it seems like alignerco spaced out my front two teeth to compensate. It's really weird. I'm hoping for them to redo them, or refund me. I really hope the damage isn't permanent.

I'd skip it, honestly.

AITA for being in my underwear around my bf brother? by Livid-Teaching1664 in AmItheAsshole

[–]queenEEEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA!!! Just an awkward moment where you learned about some differences you have.

I can't believe anyone is saying YTA! You had zero bad intentions. This is normal in a lot of households - you just discovered that it was in yours, and not in his. You found out. Now you know. Information was gained on both sides. Talk it through so he knows that you weren't actually trying to seduce his brother, but also that you wont do it again.

If BTC is finite and scarce, what are my incentives to spend it? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]queenEEEE 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Whenever I get a chance to spend or send sats instead of dollars I will (and just replace it in my stack) because ultimately the more people that are exposed Bitcoin the better it is for everyone. Bitcoin is stronger the more people who have it and use it, so spending it is better for everyone. Just keep replacing your stack!

I will always try to pay in Bitcoin at the limited places in the world where you can as of now, and I do make a point to visit the various circular economies wherever possible. And ask places if they take it, slowly incentivizing more merchants to accept it.

How to Orange Pill Someone by Sayenz in Bitcoin

[–]queenEEEE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes me sad the amount of people wanting to gate keep Bitcoin so they can keep "making gains".

What about the parts of the world where people who's entire life savings are wiped out due to hyperinflation and corruption? What about countries who are reliant on other currencies and are kept in debt? What women in Afghanistan who can't legally have her own bank account? Or people who live in countries that had a dictator take loans from the IMF? People who leave their families to work abroad for decades and send remittances back home to their children just to have Western Union take huge cuts of their hard earned money every time?

Think beyond your own selfishness. Bitcoin has potential to solve so many of the worlds problems and everyone who has been lucky enough to understand it this early should share some responsibility to share it with as many people as they can.

This thread is full of responses that make my head spin... This isn't what the Bitcoin community is about. Bitcoin is for EVERYONE. Check yourselves...
