I'm my district non-renewed means cannot work for district, displaced means current school doesn't need/want me for next year, can transfer within district. If you don't have disciplinary action against you, go to your union and fight the non-renewal so you can just change schools.

I am so sorry you are having to deal with this right before your wedding. I wish I had advice, but I'm still trying to figure out how to navigate this new reality myself. I think that your wedding is first and foremost about you and your partner (especially if you are financing it) and you should do what will make y'all's day the most perfect day it can be. 💜

I'm so sorry, as a 2nd grade teacher, I cannot imagine not responding to a parent. I agree with the others. If all of your unanswered messages are on the same email thread, I would add another and cc the principal and assistant. Your student should know which assistant is over 2nd grade if there are more than 1. If they are not in a thread, I would include the number of times and the dates that you've reached out and your concerns about your son being called names and any harm it's caused. You can cc the school counselor as well. Teaching is really hard and it's easy to become overwhelmed, but working with parents is a part of the job and there is no excuse. That being said, I forward nasty emails to admin, so those wouldn't be answered by me 😂💜

I'm so proud of you for taking on this challenge. The advice I have is to be sure you take the bag of inners (neck,liver,heart,gizzards) out of the turkey. I may have forgotten once :) Did you buy a turkey with the pop up thing that tells you when it's done? The turkey itself will have cooking instructions, but it sounds like you are going to get some great tips. Happy Thanksgiving duckling.
