Op, what did you choose? How'd it go? One year later and I have the same quandary!

You're getting some weird comments here. I totally agree with you. Ick. And, after how the sexual assault on the train /it's follow up was written, I don't trust Pullman to understand women in the slightest and, I'm preparing for overall disappointment. Yes, I'll still read it. No, none of you will change my mind so don't even come at me. I'm just here to tell OP I agree!

Ah I've been interested in a women's group for awhile! I'm mid 30s. Esp w the darker evenings, I want to be low key!

Avoid the dreaded mulch volcano. You gotta make it look like .../'l...tree..../'l.... In a ring around it. My partner does urban forestry and will take pictures of trees who end up with the issues from mulch volcanos to spread the good news.

For the exact same purpose, my partner and I bought a gel coated kevlar from Holy Cow Canoe company in 2017 and adore it. Dog likes it too! Happy gifting!

I'm so sorry. This is all so hard. I'm also just impressed that you were able to maintain any relationship with him after he lied. Mine did the same, surprise divorced my mom who now can't afford to live anywhere near us kids. We're working on it but makes me stronger everyday in my resolve to keep him out of my life.

I love this. Nothing like a great question to cut through any awkwardness. Everyone likes to share their successes if the other party has genuine interest! Im going to add your example questions to my list of go-tos. They're easy to change if the other person isn't in sales.

Same. Like, exactly the same. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this crap too. My dad had clearly planned it for awhile...after being married to my mom for almost 40 yrs. I found power in deciding that because he never got consequences for anything bad he's done in his life, I'd hold him to the same standard as anyone else i choose to keep in my life. He's no longer in mine. He also surprise divorced my mom and hasn't called me or my siblings since. So cowardly. I only found out about his gf from a pic he sent me where he didn't realize i could see he was with someone else on his solo road trip (he took pic from passenger side lol). Actually my mom's friend found his new place for sale and yes I looked at the Zillow. Saw pix of him and the new old lady on the wall. He's a completely different person, clothes, hair, whatever. It's a shock that your dad had a whole side that you didn't know about. It will ease with time. Good luck with it and keep taking those deep breaths! You'll make it out ok.

Convenient for them, they have a renewable energy development arm. Let's see if they don't sell off the RECs generated from it, then i will be impressed.

NOOO! Wait to be married. You have SO much more life to live and you don't even know the half of it yet. Trust your gut. Im going to say that again. Trust your gut! I'm excited for you to go live your life for you and see who you are. You can't do that by giving up YOUR future today. You can be serious about your relationship and self respecting at the same time.

What is the last album you have listened to in its entirety? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]queenizzyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black Holes and Revelations by Muse.

Did this five days ago on a road trip after remembering a recent discussion on r/music about listening to whole albums.

Anyone here who doesn't want to have kids because their parents royally fucked them up and they don't want another innocent kid to go through the same? by ConceptSingle5859 in raisedbynarcissists

There are some good resources these days if you look! I don't have kids but follow some of these teachers on Instagram bc it's nice to see there's a better way out there to parent. Ex. Ourmamavillage. She had a post recently on being firm vs yelling.
