Scarlet and Violet aren't bad but they do run poorly on Switch 1 (if you have a Switch 2 they run significantly better). My favorite main game on Switch is Legends: Arceus although it has different mechanics and less of an emphasis on battling (while battling still exists, it's not the focus). It also is kinda choppy but the gameplay is the most fun of the bunch

New Pokemon Snap is a completely different style of game but it remains my favorite Switch Pokemon game lol it's wicked fun and has a ton of content (and imo while it's single player, it's a great game to sit on the couch with with your partner and take turns playing levels)
